Tonight we have two teams who have fought hard and tough attempting to get those elusive points to prove themselves, but both teams have been unsuccessful as of yet. But tonight that ends, one team or maybe even both will walk away with their first points of the season. Will it be the Russian speaking roster rumbling Serpents who have struggled to find a working formula or Animate who on the other hand has kept their roster intact, but will that be enough to take on the Russians who have been prone to cause upsets in previous seasons? Your casters for the evening are Sideshow and CommanderX with ondkaja guiding your gaze over the battlefield.

Tonight we have one of the big ones. Bursting from a convincing victory last week and eager for playoffs Full Tilt is looking like a top contender for a spot. Their initial roster issues have been smoothed out painlessly and if they take this fixture they will further diminish their opponents  playoff hopes. The Last Resort suffered a crushing defeat to LEGO but it might have just served to strengthen their resolve. With viaduct being the scout paradise it is we will see whether Herr_P can reprise his heroic plays from last season or if Astt just goes ham on everyone. It’s an important game and it will be casted for you amusement by CommanderX and Hildreth with DavidTheWin taking the reigns as cameraman.

With Highlander Season 9 just around the corner, it’s time for a cup to whet your appetite and give the teams a chance to butt heads on some brand spanking new maps! Our old favourite Gravelpit has had a makeover, with teams clashing on cp_gravelpit_x_b3 in round 1. In the semi finals we’ll be seeing an old UGC staple, koth_ashville_rc1, while in the final pl_badwater_pro8 gets an outing.

As promised we’re going to playtest some maps before Highlander Season 9. This time we’ll use a few pro versions of highlander classics.

The cup will be held on Sunday, the 11th of October. Both fun teams and 9v9 teams may enter the tournament, you can sign up your team at the link below

We will make brackets of 8 teams per skill group, so you’ll be able to prepare screenshots for Season 9, as well as having close games. So make sure you select the division you’re most likely going to try out for in Season 9 or you think your mix team is capable of handling.

Teams will be seeded first come first serve. Signing up late just before the deadline will not guarantee your team a seed if there aren’t 7 other teams to create a bracket.

The schedule and the maplist is as follows:

• 19 CEST: Round of 8 cp_gravelpit_x_b3 – best of 3 (stopwatch config)
• 20 CEST: Semi Finals koth_ashville_rc1 – best of 1 (winlimit 3, koth config)
• 21 CEST: Finals pl_badwater_pro8 – best of 3 (stopwatch config)

The whole tournament will be held as a Knock-Out without group stages. Please make sure you have downloaded the maps before the Ro8 to ensure that matches are played on time!

The rules will be the same as the ETF2L HL Season 8 rules. This means medigun pickups are not allowed. Other weapons can be picked up.

The whitelist that should be used is this one. You can also execute the whitelist by typing “rcon tftrue_whitelist_id etf2l_9v9_s9” if you have TFTRUE installed.

Tonight marks the final Premiership week two fixture actually played in week two. The kind teams that treat us to this are Full Tilt and Animate. Full Tilt had a rough start to their season losing out to Se7en but Full Tilt has seen some roster changes since then with spudd come in to replace alle. Whether this British takeover will prove to be fruitful shall be seen tonight, though one does think of the old adage about how many Brits a team can handle. On the side of Animate we see a more diverse spread of misha YB`galities. In their first official they managed to take a few rounds off The Last Resort but not enough to put them on the leaderboard. Will the wltrs + nukkye scout duo put their aim to work and get their team some well sought after points? Tune in with Mike, Maks and DavidTheWin on camera duty.
