Another week of Prem, another triple header. Can we get the triple triple header inception done before the end of the season? Anyway, here are the games being played so you can pick and choose which stream to watch.

LEGO VS. REASON GAMING

Lego has been obliterating their legacy as the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Prem this season. Beating International The Last Resort and taking European Epsilon eSports to a golden cap. How will they fare against European Se7en, a team that has remained undefeated under the leadership of UnitedKingdom kaidus. Casting this will be England TurboTabs, UnitedKingdom Maks and England DavidTheWin on camera duty.

FULL TILT VS. SERPENTS

UnitedKingdom Sideshow’s merry band of Brits managed to European Full Tilt International The Last Resort last week, tonight they will face Russia Forsak3n’s band of brothers Russia Serpents. Who won their first map last week versus European Animate on product, with that map carrying over they have a strong map in their arsenal. Tune in with England WARHURYEAH & UnitedKingdom CommanderX as your commentators and Marblr on the camera.

ANIMATE VS. DANGER DOGS BY TF2PICKUP.NET

European Danger Dogs are truly the underdogs this season having been unable to muster the strength to gain a single point so far. With European Animate also in the lower echelons of Prem as of now, this could be their chance to pull ahead of the pack. Tune in with UnitedKingdom Ryushi, Denmark Beater and Germany Suyooo  to find out where these two teams actually stand.

Staff changes, Tuesday bans, Open AC positions

Date October 20, 2015

Staff Changes

We are saddened to announce that due to other occupations, England kindred will be stepping down from his position on the AC team. kindred has been a valuable asset to the AC team for almost 15 months now, not only providing his time and knowledge to keep ETF2L cheat-free, but also in improving the methods in which this was done. We wish him well in all his future endeavours.

Bans

These players have been caught with VAC bans affecting TF2, and will be banned from the league for one year:

As these players have not been caught cheating by our staff, their match results are not affected.

The following players have been caught cheating by our Anti-Cheat team. They will be banned from ETF2L for one year:

The following players have been caught evading bans or assisting in ban evasion by our Anti-Cheat team. They will be banned from ETF2L for one year:

The folllowing player has been caught distributing cheats and will hereby be banned from the league for one year::

Anti-Cheat Staff Applications

With England kindred stepping down, this time we are looking to trial two more individuals to join the AC staff. Users that have already attempted applying for AC staff can also re-apply.

AC members need to be trustable and have a good sense of morality, as well as being excited by the detective work & the technical aspects of the source engine that comes with demo viewing and cheats and such. It’s also important to have no bias and be respectful of the democratic process on voting.

Please don’t be intimidated to apply, it’s a position that you can really only improve on with real experience.

Check these guidelines for a more in-depth description of the application process. If you don’t fill out the application properly, we will likely deny your application. Promising candidates with an extensive application will be interviewed and welcomed to staff.

Season 22 powered by saloon.tf Premiership Week 4: Epsilon eSports by Fragnet Networks vs. The Last Resort

Date October 20, 2015

iYBXnpl1xfzYPkglrH-po7_WiBlxB3Tu2Nuo2rWdAag

It’s time for a big one. European Epsilon eSports lost their first point last week in a golden cap vs Denmark LEGO will this lost point plant a seed of doubt in the Epsilon players? Or will the resounding voice of SEB bring them up their morale? International The Last Resort on the other hand suffered a heart wrenching defeat last week vs European Full Tilt despite revolutionising the sniper meta. They also switched out Sweden Herr_P for France NiCO god's hand, will the frenchman’s return invigorate them? Tune in with International Twiggy, Ireland molesto and England DavidTheWin as your cameraman to find out.

Season 22 powered by saloon.tf Premiership Week 3: Epsilon eSports vs. Danger Dogs & Lego and Danger Dogs vs. Reason Gaming

Date October 15, 2015

iYBXnpl1xfzYPkglrH-po7_WiBlxB3Tu2Nuo2rWdAag

With triple headers becoming somewhat of a regular occurrence these days it’s time for something new. That’s what we are getting tonight. European Epsilon eSports and European Danger Dogs both have two officials scheduled for tonight and it’s all being casted by teamfortress.tv

Epsilon Esports by fragnet networks vs. Danger Dogs by tf2pickup.net & LEGO

European Epsilon eSports has been uncontested so far not losing any of their games, tonight though they will be playing back to back officials. Will the sheer pressure be enough for their opponents to cause an upset or will the highly experienced team keep their composure and emerge victorious? Their first opponent at 20 CEST will be European Danger Dogs, the doggies have not found their stride yet sitting at the bottom of the table with 0 points. It’d be big ask of them to get some points off of Epsilon, but strange things do happen from time to time.

After the results of the first game is in Epsilon will face Denmark LEGO. Denmark LEGO caused an upset last week by easily disposing International The Last Resort and embarking on the season of LEGO. Will they be able to take on this behemoth or will Epsilon make them fall back to their old defensive ways, hiding away in the safety of gully last? Both these games will be casted by UnitedKingdom CommanderX and Canada Getawhale with England Jonas your cameraman du jour.

DANGER DOGS by tf2pickup.net VS. REASON gaming

After their game against Epsilon concludes Danger Dogs will be moving over to stream two. There they will be facing off against another Premiership mammoth: European Se7en. European Se7en has kept a perfect record so far, will the Doggies be able to be a large enough thorn in the mammoth’s side to claim some points? The game will be casted by Denmark Beater, UnitedKingdom Ryushiand Sweden ondkaja on the camera at 21:15 CEST.

>>>>>>SIGN UP NOW<<<<<<

You can ONLY sign up by clicking the link above. Any signups via mail will be ignored.

Make sure to choose your desired tier when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a tier, feel free to apply for the tier you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the tier you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.

If you want to be more specific about a tier you request, send an application to staff@etf2l.org (details listed below). As a reminder here is the division to tier rough conversion:

  • Premiership –Highest division for highlander
  • High– Stable serious teams that have multiple seasons of experience
  • Mid – Teams with experienced players that know the gamemode
  • Open – This is our starter division, anyone can sign up for this

Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the tier you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a tier. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that any email attachment will be ignored – keep it clean!

Also helpful for us, but not a must however, is adding who the opposing team is in each screenshot (and maybe even the division they played in the last time). That makes it easier for us, because sometimes it can be quite hard (especially in the lower tiers) to figure out who the teams in the screenshots are.

If you are applying for Open (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level.

Please send your application to staff@etf2l.org. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored!

  • Do not use HTML in your e-mail. If you want to add a link, just paste the link in the e-mail as you would enter it in your browser.
  • Team name
  • Team link on ETF2L.org
  • Tier/Division you apply for
  • Link to the online photo album
  • Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the tier you applied for (optional)

Recruiting (6s) League Admins

We’re happy to announce that Finland Bloodis has completed his trial and has been appointed as a 6v6 league admin.
But with Germany ducky and Finland DyaWyb leaving our ranks we are once again looking for admins to help us run the league. We are mainly looking for one or two 6s admins, but if there was an outstanding hl admin application we would not say “No”.

Among other things league admins take admin requests on IRC, deal with match conflicts, handle the setting of Default Dates and the verification of played matches. They also create and oversee cups.

With the change to the swiss system setting Default Dates does not create as much of a task as it used to do, since a notable portion of it is now automated. It is basically a non-factor in the regular season. On the other hand dealing with match conflicts has become a task that has to be adressed in a more timely fashion. Additionally providing support during match times has grown in importance, therefore we cannot really employ admins who have team commitments every four to five times per week (especially but not limited to Thursdays). Same goes for creating and overseeing cups. It is always easier said than done, having the idea and setting up a cup is only a small part of actually running a cup. Being there when the cup is under way, providing match support, adressing conflicts, lending out servers, seeding further rounds, verifying finished matches and many more tasks have to be handled, while possibly over 100 matches are going on simultaneously, you may not be alone, but you will be part of it.

Also something we want to adress is our interest in self-managed admins, we will not take you by the hand and lead you through everything there is to do. YOU have to show interest, YOU have to ask what you can do, YOU have to prove you really want to be an admin. There are plenty of admins around almost all the time, who are happy to help you and show you the ropes, but at some point routines will have to be dealt with without someone telling you that they need to be done. At the same time, communicating with other admins is very important, to avoid certain tasks being done twice, conflicting results in decisions or even decisions overwriting previous ones.

If you are interested in supporting the administrative backbone for the league, you should also check out the details on the respective application page, this will tell you which information we need from you at the very least. With an emphasis on THE VERY LEAST, most applications that cover only the very basics will not go very far. Additionally this general page may provide you with some more information.
