Our current Starting Cup-Titleholders 4 Kings are facing the probably most improved team of last weeks, Fracture, in the final of European’s biggest Team Fortress 2 Cup! Don’t miss the clash!

Cup Gamemode Polls

Our 1^st Cup-Gamemode-Poll ended pretty close with total voters of 160. With having only 2 more votes we will stay with the Draw-Map-Count-System. But the next and probably most important poll is starting right away: The general Winning-System for our upcomming. You can choose between 1 Map only, a Classic Best of 3 or our current 2 Map Win System.

Season-Halftime

Nearing the Season-Halftime I have two general reminders for you:

• We included a Demo-Upload-Function a week ago and would like to see more people using it. Feel free uploading your PoV- our Source-TV-Demos of your ETF2L Matches!
• We recommend all team leaders to join our Steam Group for another communication system.

Our general league schedule after Week 4 officially ended last Sunday is pretty good except for Division 1 which feels like a fulltime-problem sometimes. We are happy about only 7 teams dropping so far (which are only 6 %), but with warm weather coming up we will probably have some more drops in the coming weeks.

It seems like some teams are working on a perfect streak in their 1^st ETF2L Season, good luck for the rest of the Season to hold your streaks:

Rules Update

Due to the published TF2 Patch we have to make some updates on our rules. Please all read through the changes:

• All Medic Unlocks are allowed to be used (Critzcrieg not working)
• “Default granary” is the old version without gates, called cp_pro_granary (Downloadlink)
• If both teams agree, new cp_granary can be played (mention it to your opponent by scheduling the game)
• As Stopwatch has been added by Default, we are only in need of screenshots of the final scoreboard of every round
• Goldrush will be added to 3^rd-Party-Map-Pool for the moment

The 3rd Week of our 2nd Season ended yesterday officially. Sadly some games, mainly from higher divisions, still have to be played. Remember you already in need to challenge your Week 4 Games which are supposed to be played until coming Sunday, 23:59 CET.

EDIT: Cause of the free day during the week in many countries we postpone the Schedule-Deadline one day to tomorrow, Thursday, 23:59 CET.

2nd Cup ending, 3rd Cup coming up

Both Semi-Finals have been played last week, 4 Kings managed to get a clear win over sigh6 (granary 3:1 | badlands 7:1). In the final our Cup-Holders will meet Fracture, who surprisingly won over Excello (formerly known as syre) in 2 maps (granary 3:5 | badlands 4:6).

The big Final 4 Kings vs. Fracture will take place on 8^th May, 21:00 CET. Map-Order will be: granary – badlands – turbine – well – gravelpit – dustbowl. First reaching two Map-Wins will win our 2nd Cup. We will have some special coverage coming for you. More information about it will be published sooner.

We are also planning a 3^rd Cup right after the final is played; gamemode and rules are not decided yet.

For a first general impression we are doing a first general vote about the draw-map situation in our upcoming Cups. Take your chance to vote above.

We integrated a new Demo-Upload-Function to our League Site. Feel invited to upload your ETF2L League Demos to the Site!

Just follow this link (registered users only) for uploading a demo.
Maximum size is 20MB, ending has to be *.rar or *.zip!

After an admin has verified the upload, you can find the demo in our Demo Section.

Week 2 Games

Tonight we are breaking a new personal record with having 28 matches scheduled in our Calendar. We wish all teams much fun and good luck in your tonight’s games!

If you are in need of an admin please use the “!admin” function at our IRC Channel #etf2l and be patient. An admin will contact you as soon as someone is available.

As we have many questions about it, a short overview about different possibilities if a team is short on players:

• Opponent can agree on ringers with same skill level (maximum of ringers: 2)
• Opponent can agree on postponing the game for a few days
• If a team only has 4 players, the other team can claim a Default Win.
• If a team only has 5 players, they can play 5on6 (if opponent doesn’t agree on ringers).

We please all teams to start scheduling your Week 3 Matches as well, remember all Week 3 Games have to be scheduled by Wednesday 23:59 CET. If you have problems contacting your opponent open a thread in our Challenge Forum.

2^nd Cup – Semi-Finals!

2^nd Cup’s end isn’t far away, in the upcoming week both Semi-Finals will be played. Watch out for Source-TV (and maybe more…)!

Of course there will be another Cup. We will publish some info about that soon.

How-To Stopwatch?

As some people are not sure which kind of screenshots they need to upload if StopWatch is taking place, here is a little example from Division 5a Game Sang Royal vs. No Mercy.

• 1^st Screenshot: Final Scoreboard
• 2^nd Screenshot: Endtime Team 1
• 3^rd Screenshot: Endtime Team 2
• Team with more time left by capping last point won the map(dustbowl)/round(gravelpit).
• Gravelpit has to be played with two rounds.
• StopWatch only takes place if both teams cap all points.

If you have any more questions about the use of StopWatch, contact an admin.

Major Update on Calendar

We had some major update on the Calendar. Every team can only schedule their own matches now. Once a game is scheduled, it can’t be added a second time.

Please check if all current made schedules are still correct. We will also have some more little updates on the site (like our “Streak”-chart at Tables).
