Sign-up process

Make sure to choose your desired division when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a division, feel free to apply for the division you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the division you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.

Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the division you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a division. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that if you opt for a zipped archives with tons of pictures attached to an e-mail, your application will be ignored. Keep it clean.

Also helpful for us, but not a must however, is adding who the opposing team is in each screenshot (and maybe even the division they played in the last time). That makes it easier for us, because sometimes it can be quite hard (especially in the lower divisions) to figure out who the teams in the screenshots are.

If you are applying for Division 6 (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level. This only applies to Division 5 or higher.

Please send your application to staff@etf2l.org. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored!

• Do not use HTML in your e-mail. If you want to add a link, just paste the link in the e-mail as you would enter it in your browser.

• Team link on ETF2L.org

• Link to the online photo album
• Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the division you applied for (optional)

The Highlander Open Cup Medals

We’re heading into the final 16 teams with Round 4 of the playoffs beginning today so there’s no better time than now to announce the final design and completion of your highly coveted medals, all crafted by nabique & Brd! For the teams and players that unfortunately fell short of this stage, you will still receive your participation medal for HLO! For those of you who are still in the race for victory, good luck! Announcing Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS!

After wrapping Season 18 powered by Tt eSPORTS up and crowning Epsilon eSports champions once again, we are happy to announce our next 6v6 Season. All the information regarding the coming Season can either be found in this newspost, or will be announced in the future! Stay tuned!

Season Schedule

Signups: September 1 – September 16
Publishing of Provisional: September 17
Publishing of Final: September 18
Schedule Week: September 21 – September 28
Main Season: September 28 – November 16
Catch-up Week: November 16 – November 23
Tiebreakers: November 24 – November 30 (Premiership Tiebreakers which affect Playoffs must be played before November 30)
Premiership Playoffs: November 30

You can still sign up your team after September 16. Teams signing up later than September 16 will be placed on the waiting list and have a very high chance of replacing dead or dropping teams during the first two play weeks.

Premiership Playoffs

The schedule for Premiership Playoffs has significantly changed this season, now all playoffs will be played on 1 night. The amount of teams participating in the playoffs has been decreased to 3 teams. The full schedule for the playoffs is listed as follows:

November 30th

19:00 CEST – 3rd vs 2nd

21:15 CEST – Winner vs 1st

The day of the finals is set to Sunday November 30th. This day may be changed to a day before Sunday November 30th if all 3 teams agree.

Maps, Unlocks, Prizes & other changes

Everything else will be announced in the future, we just wanted the schedule to be available to you all as early as possible.

NEW MEDALS!

Yes, you read that correctly. ETF2L has some new medals, created by Maniac which we will show off before they are added into the game shortly. They have been approved by Valve and will hopefully be added into the game in the upcoming updates. These new medals will be distributed for all Season 18/Highlander Season 6 participants and will be used for all forthcoming seasons.

i52 HighLANder Cup Finals!

In less than 20 minutes the finals start for the i52 HighLANder cup. At 14:00 CEST the two group stage toppers Team Nein! and Team-Awesome! duke it out in the consolation finals for 3rd place. Later at 16:45 CEST Hildreth super team Only here for the Pizza and Scissors prem mix team Gunther & the gang kick off the epic grand final for some real TF2 Medals and a pizza.

i52 Grand Final!

The biggest TF2 event of the year, insomnia52, is drawing to a close. Over the past two days 26 teams played a total of 99 matches until there were only two teams left. Tomorrow at 11.00 CEST, Froyotech and Epsilon eSports walk onto the grand stage in Ricoh Arena, Coventry to fight for the title of TF2 world champions. Tune in to the Multiplay stream for coverage of the best of 3 maps series!
