Logjam Cup powered by serveme.tf: Two more teams!

Date September 13, 2014

Just a quick update: While the original announcement post stated the limit as 128 teams, we’re currently at a whopping 142 teams! (We had to remove three teams with less than five players).

We’d love to create 9 brackets with 16 teams each – but for that we’d need 144 teams!

So if you’ve pondered signing up last night but then thought you’d be too late anyway, now’s your chance! First come, first serve.

Actual details will be published tomorrow.

Highlander Nations Cup #3 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Wrap-up

The third ETF2L Highlander Nations Cup has come to a close. 37 teams signed up for this tournament, and they have been whittled down to our winner – Sweden Sweden. Congratulations to Sweden for winning the third Highlander Nations Cup! Team captain Sweden nijoonen had the following to say

“I’d like to thank everyone that made the third HLNC happen, players, admins, casters, viewers and forum posters. An extra thanks to the other captains for being understanding with scrims and match times through out the whole cup, it could have been a way bumpier road. I’ll let my minigun collect dust until next summer when it’s time for Sweden to show our supremacy once again.”

The full standings are as follows:

  • Winner: Sweden Sweden – winning €500 and 9x Tt eSPORTS Black Gaming Mice
  • Runner-Up: England England – winning €350
  • 3rd Place: Finland Finland – winning €150

Many thanks also to BlackOut TV for providing thorough coverage of this competition. You can find their VOD’s here.

Logjam Cup powered by serveme.tf

Date September 2, 2014

To kick off Season 19 and give teams an opportunity to play cp_logjam_b9 (or whichever the latest version is) before the actual season begins, we decided to host another cup.
In addition to introducing the map it will give teams new to ETF2L a chance to try out the whole ‘official match’ process and result submission before the actual season – hopefully decreasing the amount of mistakes during the actual season.

Depending on the number of signups there will be several brackets to accommodate different skill levels, each consisting of four groups of four teams each. This cups group stage will be played on Sunday, September 14th. The top two teams from each group will proceed into the knockout stages on Tuesday, September 16th. If any tiebreakers are needed after the group stages they will be played on Monday, September 15th.

Both standard 6v6 and fun teams are eligible to enter the cup and can sign up here. Don’t forget that one default merc will be allowed – so your 6v6 team might just be viable after all! Both signup lists will be merged for the actual seedings, it doesn’t matter in which one you sign up.

Sign ups will close on Friday, September 12th at 23:59CEST or when there’s a total of 128 sign ups, whichever occurs first. Teams signing up after will be considered as replacement teams for teams dropping on short notice!

Extremely valuable prizes in the form of pixel trophies await the top four teams of each bracket! Read the rest of this entry »
