This is the end of the regular season, and that brings us to the Highlander Season 8 Playoffs!

We’re going to the playoffs for all divisions, baby!

So, how does this thing work?
The top teams of each division will be battling it out with each other in a knockout system.
In the week of 11th to 21st May, the top 8 open, top 8 mid and top 4 high teams will get fixtures assigned to them, and in the end there will be one team standing per tier that can claim they were the best in their tier of Season 8!

Aren’t you forgetting Premiership?
Premiership is going to be different from previous seasons.
We’re going to host a top 3 playoff. Meaning a semi-finals between the 3rd and 2nd placed team.
The winner of that match will meet the no.1 ranked team in the grand finals.

This is the schedule we’ve announced since beginning of the season, and gives teams enough time to prepare for their matches.

So we’ve seen what the top of prem has to offer. Now it’s time to take a look at the teams looking to compete with them. Three hopeful teams have stepped forth, but only one of them will attain the glory of a seat in ETF2L’s highest tier.

First out of the three are Revoluzion la metagame & Wonderland. Formed in the hopes of clenching a coveted Prem spot, these teams have everything to prove and nothing to lose, except a place in Prem… Revoluzion la metagame is a name that should sound familiar as a Premiership team of old. But these are new times and a vastly different team than last time around. Facing them will be Wonderland, with several players who were put to the test in High last season and some Prem experience on the roster, these players feel like there are bigger fish for them to fry.

Whoever prevails will have to deal with LEGO. With many Division1 victories to their name and a couple of stints in Prem to boot, LEGO is the team to beat. Hoping this Season will prove more fruitful than the last, it’s all on the line for this team.

The tiers may still be subject to change, there is no guarantee for anyone except those teams who earned promotion or stayed comfortably in the middle of their tier.

Coverage

A reminder of the rules:

• Make sure you have the right config and whitelist enabled.
• Check your fixtures every round.
• Be on time. You are allowed 15 minutes before the opponents can claim a default win.
• If anything happens during the match, contact an admin with your evidence.
• Knockout stage is a best of three. The first person to reach 20 frags or whoever has the highest number of frags when the time ends wins the match.
• Submit your results on time. We expect you to upload the status + scoreboard screenshots and scores 15 minutes before the next round at max.
• As usual, record your demos and create screenshots. The Anti-Cheat team might request them.
• Contact the admins if your team is dropping from the cup.
• Anyone caught intentionally abusing unintended functionality of the map (e.g. loading item presets) will be removed from the cup
