10 years ago, 4kings was the first team to win an etf2l season, defeating FoF in two close maps on ctfturbine and cpwell. At the time, there was no proper playoffs phase, a very different whitelist and a very different map pool. Yet despite all this, the same eagerness to win inhabits the players from 10 years ago and the ones from today. Se7en versus SVIFT is only the latest example of such dedication to the game. Recently, Se7en has been said by many to be weakened by its recent roster changes and is still adapting to having Starkie on Medic. SVIFT, on the other hand, has managed to greatly improve over the season and was able to take a map from Se7en in the Upper Bracket Finals, but the team is still struggling against an incredibly cohesive and experienced Se7en.
With such teams meeting in the finals, we can expect the game to be close and the winner might simply be determined by the sheer willingness to win from one of them.

After 2 weeks of nations coming together and fighting to the death until the timer runs out or win conditions have been met 14 of these countries have made their way out of the group stages in to the Round of 16.

With Israel and Czech Republic each winning a map when they met resulting in a tied score for the highest seed in group D and when Ukraine met Romania in group G also drew their game these countries still have to play a tiebreaker to figure out which team places where in their respective groups and go through to the next round if a tiebreaker game has not been played already.

Tiebreakers will be played as a Best of 3 in the upcoming week and the Round of 16 will start on August 5th, or earlier even if these matches get played sooner!

Following the playoffs during the Round of 16 teams will be paired against teams in their nearby group, having 1st place team from Group A playing against 2nd place team from Group B, with the same trend going on for each paired group.

Tonight we’ll be getting one step closer to the conclusion of Season 30. Coming in with a late scheduling and catching everybody by surprise we’ll be having the lower bracket finals between the bin and SVIFT.

SVIFT coming in after losing the upper bracket final from Se7en, but being the first team to take a map off of the invincible giant. the bin on the other hand faced off against their counterpart the bin BLACK and managed to get out a convincing win. Will this match be a repeat of their game in the first round on playoffs or has the bin gained additional motivation after their victory?

Down below are this season’s provisional tiers. If you can’t find your team it could be due to you recently changing your team name. Unhappy about your place? Feel free to contact us over at https://etf2l.org/support/ or in our discord. These tiers are still subjected to change if teams make a good case as to why they should be moved.

As you may notice, all tiers will be using round robin this season. As this makes us require a 6 teams for each group signups after this post will be added to the waiting list until either a spot opens up or if there are enough signups to make an additional group.
