We are proud to publish our ETF2L Season 1 Trailer today. The 1^st Season of the biggest European TF2 League starts Monday, so prepare and get ready for action.

All thanks goes to Kellermensch & GRANiT, two mates of my team “last one alive lock the door”, who made this wonderful trailer.

As they will also do a big Season 1 Fragmovie, they want to collect good demos from different ETF2L League Games. If you record a skilled demo in the next weeks, feel free to contact them in team’s IRC channel #lastonealivelockthedoor @ QuakeNet.

First of all Happy New Year 2008 – let’s hope for a successfully TF2-year.

The mappicks closed last night, all map choices can be found at the Fixtures. Sadly we had one very late dropping team with “Anonymous Tactics”. We are happy the old TFC team “IDK” was up to take their position in Division 4.

The 1^st ETF2L Season is starting next Monday. We really please every team to try their best scheduling and playing the matches. Our admin team will also try their best for helping in the 1^st weeks and for a good organization of 24 games per week.

Here is a “How-to-play-an-ETF2L-match”:

1. Schedule your league game:

• You can see your opponents with the dates at the Fixtures. Every team has to play one game every week, in Division 1, 3a and 3b one team has to sit out every week.

• By clicking on your opponent’s team name you will directly come to their team page. Contact the team leader by IRC if possible.

Notice: Some teams don’t have an IRC channel yet. We are working on a solution for these teams.

• You have to schedule exact date and time with your opponents. You should also decide for a server already.

Notice: If there are problems agreeing on a server, contact an admin.

• After scheduling the match one (!) team leader has to add the match with correct date and time at the Calendar by this link. Click the little box and choose correct match and save it. Time has to be added in CET.

Notice: If a match is not added on the Calendar on the Wednesday 23:59CET of commencing week, admins will decide a neutral match date.

2. Play your league game:

• Some time before the league game is supposed to start team leaders should contact each other already and clear up if all is fine with the game.
• On the scheduled time both teams meet on the server which was decided before. All players need to play with the nickname entered at the ETF2L team site.
• Team leaders are supposed to do the following screenshots:

a) Status screenshot of all player’s SteamIDs

b) Scoreboard screenshot at the end of 1^st map

c) Scoreboard screenshot at the end of 2^nd map

• Every player has to record a demo. For any circumstances league game demos have to be saved for at least one week.
• After both maps are finished one (!) team leader have to submit the correct score of both maps at this link. You will also have to upload all three screenshots. After an admin verified the result, it will be shown on the page.

Notice: Make sure Team 1 scores entered on the left, Team 2 scores on the right.

We please every team to always be as friendly as possible and fair to every opponent.

Team rosters will close on the 6^th January at 23:59 CET. After that all players without SteamID will be deleted and you can only add players or change your team roster by contacting an admin. To prevent clanhopping a player can only switch a team once during a season.

The following players have no SteamID atm:

• Charge: ELVamperio
• Clanda: Armzz
• Hybrid: butz
• LOL Team: Fletch, Muzzy, Prof.ru, Riddick, Thunder, viper.ru

Christmas is finally over and 2008 isn’t far away. Also just 10 more days and the 1^st Game Week of our 1^st Season will start. Feel free to start scheduling your Week 1 games with your opponent. Don’t forget to put the fixed date into our Calendar. You can add games to the Calendar here. Just mark the little Box “League / Cup Fixture”, choose the correct game and save it with exact date and time (which should be in CET).

Notice: You can also already schedule games of any other Game Week. But remember once a game is scheduled in the Calendar, it can only be postponed if both teams agree or by using a Wildcard. League games can only be played in the provided week.

Many teams still have to do their mappicks. Remember the mappick will close on the 01.01.2008 at 23:59CET. Maps will be picked randomly for every team who hasn’t made their mappicks by the deadline. Team Leader can do the mappick here. You can pick every map only three times.

Beside that our first competition, the Starting Cup, is still running of course. All QuarterFinals are scheduled; we hope for some attractive games and wish every team good luck. That’s the timetable:

• 8.1.08, 21CET – last one alive lock the door vs coldFusion
• 8.1.08, 21.15CET – charge vs Herbs Army

Divisions and Fixtures are final, the mappick is open now. Have a look at the Rules page for detailed map rule information. Your map picks won’t be published before general mappick is closed. Every team is supposed to pick their maps till the 02.01.2008. You can pick your maps here. All mappicks will be published one day later.

Notice: You can pick every map only three times.

The 1^st Game Week will be from 07.01.-13.01.2008. From this week on you will have to play one ETF2L match every week. You will schedule every game by contacting other team’s leader and post the scheduled game with exact date and time in our Calendar after. We please everyone to read our complete Rules page

Notice: In Division 1, 3a and 3b one team has to sit out every game week.

We have also added a new results submission page where clan admins can now submit results and map screenshots all in one go. We would appreciate it if the clan admins from the cup games that have already been played could re-submit their results along with the match screenshots. The page can be found on your dashboard titled: “Submit Cup Results”. Beside some work on the site we decided to change our poll system. From now on only registered people can vote. Registering is very easy, you can do it here.

We would also please every team leader to perform our IRC channel #etf2l @ QuakeNet. For better organization, team leaders will get auto voice from now on.

We also opened some prediction votes as you can see below, have fun voting. You can also discuss about your predictions at our forum thread.
