Yes, well, looks like all things are working great again, there weren’t any problems with TFTrue in the last days, let’s hope it will stay like that!

Week 2 and 3 are running good so far, only a few matches of Week 3 not scheduled yet, so here is a little reminder:

Two days ago the 2^nd Semi Final of our Starting Cup was played, Team CoolerMaster won over last one alive lock the door (gravelpit 3:1, well 5:0). As 4 Kings already won over fof² last week, we got our first two final participants! Team CoolerMaster will meet 4 Kings.Intel in the Big Final. Of course we are trying to organize a special coverage for this game, hope we can give out some more information soon.

We got some little additions on the page (like the TodaysMatches box); you are now able to add a SourceTV IP when you are adding a game to the Calendar. We please everyone to use this option, when you schedule a ETF2L game just have a little talk about the server you will play on, if it has SourceTV, add the IP. Every team leader can also edit their team details now (rosters stay locked until Season ends). We are still working on a new system where you will be able to register your clan on the page at any time and then just have to join the competitions when Sign Ups are open. We are also integrating a FAQ and Partner Subsite soon.

By the way, as many people keep asking us: Season 2 Sign Ups will probably open at Mid-March. But of course we can’t give a specific date out yet. There will be surely a 2^nd ETF2L Cup in a near future as well.

A few hours ago a TFTrue-update has finally been released. You can download the newest version here.

Notice: As it looks like the LITE version still has problems, so we recommend downloading the full version.

Of course there have been many postponements due the Crit issue in the last week. As everything works fine again now, we please everyone to schedule their Week 2 & Week 3 Fixtures till upcoming Wednesday. Don’t forget one team leader has to add the scheduled game in the Calendar.

Notice: Due to the Patch problems, the ‘Deadline’ for Week 2 Fixtures will be the 3^rd February; Week 3 Fixtures have to be played until 27^th January.

As many already noticed there is a problem with TFTrue after newest TF2 update. On almost every server TFTrue doesn’t work anymore and you got Crits.

As it looks like only on Windows Server TFTrue is still working perfectly, Kompaniet and syre mentioned they have no problems after the patch and both got Windows-Clan-Server.

Anyway, we hope redcomet will publish a working update pretty fast.

Since that of course you can delay your ETF2L match. We please every team who got a game in the next days to contact your opponent and speak about the issue. If both teams agree to play the game with crits under the current circumstances you can surely do that.

Edit: As it looks like a TFTrue Update will be released in the next 2 days. We recommend to postpone your league games until update is released; it will be no problem to play this week’s game in the upcomming two weeks.

The United States has their ‘Super Tuesday’ for every presidential election; as we don’t like Tuesdays, we will have our own super day, the ‘Super Sunday’. Sundays are the last day of a Game Week, but many times the most important one: On our first ‘Super Sunday‘ we have 11 games entered in the Calendar:

Sadly I can’t announce any Source TV IPs yet. We hope to have some own league servers soon to have much more possibilities to have some Source TV action. Until that we would please every team to upload some demos, preferable at RedRum-Demos. I have also created a Replay Thread where you can post replay links to your ETF2L game.

We also want to remind you the 2nd Game Week is coming right through, don’t forget to schedule your game and add it in the Calendar after. Remember only one team leader has to add the game.

Please also make sure you are doing the three screenshots which will be needed to submit the result on the site (one status screen before game starts, and final scoreboard screenshots of every map).

We also have to announce we had a cheater problem, lyuno from team N!nja used a wallhack and autoshoot in a French gather. As conclusion lyuno will be banned at all ETF2L competitions in 2008. We also have to make a rule addition: Any kind of “doublejump script” is forbidden. A player using a “doublejump script” in a league game will be punished.

As our site admin ST8 will be back from vacations tomorrow we will also have some site changes during the coming week.

Yesterday the 1st Season finally started and the first league games have already been played and entered. Sadly we had more drops, but could replace them fast. From now on there won’t be any more replacements, all dropping teams will just give default losses for the rest of their matches.

We are happy many teams are scheduling their matches of the coming weeks already. Remember only one team leader has to add the date to the Calendar. Times have to be in CET.

Beside that the Team Rosters are officially closed now. If you want to add a player to your roster, you will have to contact an admin or just write it in our “Player Additions”-Thread. SteamID will be needed; a player can only switch a team once during a season.

Notice: A player has to be part of the team for more than 24 hours to be allowed playing a league match.

A few minutes ago the last Starting Cup Quarter Final ended. With about 80 people on SourceTV, 4 Kings beat The Last Resort after over 3 hours and 4 maps (well 3:0, gravelpit 1:3, dustbowl 6:6, 2fort 4:1). As conclusion of the drops of coldFusion and Herbs Army the following teams will play in the Starting Cup Semi Finals: charge, last one alive lock the door, fof and 4 Kings.
