Nations’ Cup Group Phase Schedule

Our first Nations’ Cup is running smooth; still many matches ain’t scheduled/entered in our Calendar. We want to remember all team leaders the Schedule Deadline is the 6^th August, all matches which aren’t scheduled by then will get a Default Date. Especially teams who haven’t scheduled any matches yet should start contacting their opponents if they don’t want to get removed from the Cup.

New Rules Page

We had a general rewrite of our Rules-Page, please check it out [Link]. Separate subjects will get linked in the next days. Season 3 Rules will be published there later this week aswell.

Kritzkreig – Banned

A recent TF2 update has enabled the Kritzkreig to enable firing critical shots when the server is set to crits disabled. We would just like to confirm that due to this change the Kritzkreig will now be banned from all current competitions until further notice.

Nations‘ Cup

Our Nations‘ Cup Group Phase started, the first games are played and some more are already scheduled. In the first Group C games both top seeded teams proved their ranking with two clear wins. Belgium won over Italy (cp_badlands 10:0 | cp_well 5:1) and Russia showed their strength vs. Latvia (cp_badlands 10:0 | cp_well 4:1) – Source TV Demos of both maps can be found in our Demo Section [Link].

Tonight the first meeting between two highskilled National Teams will take place in Group A. Finland will meet France on ctf_turbine and cp_gravelpit and try to earn the first group points! We please all National Teams to contact their opponents and schedule your Group Phase Matches. Please contact us if you have problems reaching an opponent so we can sort out inactive teams.

Fun Cups

Almost all Round 2 matches are played; here is a little overview of our current Fun Cup Competitions:

In our Soldier 1on1 Cup we have another Quarter Final ready to play: necr0cannibal from Blood Pressure will meet cube of Veritas. In the first Quarter Final weqo managed to defeat appe (35:18 + 35:22 – [Match Page] and is now awaiting his Semi-Final opponent.

Beside that we still have our admin Wlv from The Last Resort, AioR from Team wL and Coinz from Weapons of the Rebelion in the tourney making their way through the tree. Some big matches will come up there soon.

On the basket court we got one Quarter Final Fixture ready: Polish National Team Players Vice & mac will meet reformed Fracture buddies treigzak & mvp. Beside these two, we find some more Fracture people in the Tree aswell: kentt, together with miikka, is meeting the Blood Pressure buddies necr0cannibal & Punpu. And last but not least also appe and his team “Fractured Allstars” made their way to the Quarter Finals.

3^rd Cup

Also our 3^rd Cup is going on pretty smooth, all Round 4 Matches are scheduled and three Quarter Final Participants are known already: Dead Cows Strike Back, klan:fader and TFPortal.de.

After our IRC Live Drawing was done successfully with over 300 people participating in our channel #etf2l @ QuakeNet, the Groups are set and our Nations’ Cup Group Phase is ready to start!

3^rd Cup – Round 4

Beside the Nations’ Cup Group Phase also the 4th Round of our 3^rd Cup has been drawn.

Our current league and cup title holders 4 Kings will meet Division 1 team Weapons of the Rebelion. The Runner-Up of Season 2, Excello will have a big fight against Danish team Clones-Inc. Parallel to this Top Match, most of both team’s members will have another big fight in the Nations’ Cup Group Phase Game Sweden vs. Denmark.

Soldier 1on1 & Basketball 2on2 Status

We are happy our both Fun Cups running quite smooth and most matches are fun playing.

In our Soldier 1on1 Cup one Quarter Final Fixture is already up with weqo, ETF2L admin from the start and Demoman of Division 1 Team Excello, meeting his team mate appe, who recently won the Soldier of the Season Award.

Season 2 – Player of the Season

The last poll is over, over 100 people took part in the poll and voted for their Player of the Season. In the end Byte from Weapons of the Rebelion won the title with 36% of all votes! Congratulations!

Nations‘ Cup starting!

After our Sign-Ups closed last night, we are able to announce the official start of the 1st ETF2L Nations‘ Cup!

We are counting 22 registered National Teams for the moment, but unfortunately Romania didn’t manage to fix their roster yet. Their team captain is contacted and got time till Monday, 23:59 CET, to fix their roster, otherwise Romania will not be able to participate in the Cup.

Nations’ Cup – Pre-Round

Before starting our Group Phase with 4 groups a 5 teams, we will have a Pre-Round between smaller TF2 countries who will fight each other for a Group Phase spot.

Nations’ Cup – Group Phase

As we have announced before, a Live IRC Drawing will decide our Nations’ Cup Groups. All National Teams have been put on Pots from 1-5 divided by skill level. One team of each Pot will get drawn into one Group.

The order a team plays their matches doesn’t matter, anyway every National Team will have to play at least 1 game in the first two weeks to show some activity. We will also probably set a general Schedule Deadline later.

Our first 1-Day-Cup will introduce Valve’s new official added map “cp_fastlane” and takes place on coming Sunday, 13^th July. The Cup will be open for every registered 6on6 team with at least 6 members entered on the roster.

As some might have noticed already we had a bigger site update and are happy to announce some new Features:

Every fixed Feature has a generated Match Page from now on which can be used to schedule a game or comment it. You will also find all submitted Media of a game summarized.

2. New Roles: Deputy, War Arranger

Beside the main “Team Leaders” we have added two complete new Roles:

• Leader – Team Captain, Functions: Edit Team, Submit Results, Add Fixtures to Calendar
• Deputy – Co-Leader, Functions: Edit Team, Submit Results, Add Fixtures to Calendar
• War Arranger – Functions: Add Fixtures to Calendar

Every Leader may change the team rights any time and give roles to other members.
