Scout Update

After checking the changes and new features which came with the Scout update we have the following changes in our running competitions:

• Season 4: All Scout unlocks are allowed for Week 8 and further matches. If both teams agree, the unlocks can also be used in previous league weeks.
• Instagib 4on4 CTF Cup: As the Instagib mod is broken for now, the whole cup is put on hold until further notice.
• Scout 2on2 Cup: As the new “First Blood” feature is changing the gameplay of a Scout 2on2 match, we decided to start a poll in our Forum. All participating teams are allowed to vote whether the cup should be put on hold until a cvar against “First Blood” is published or if we should go on with “First Blood” included. The cup is put on hold until the poll is over (Sunday, 1^st March, 23:59 CET).  [vote here!]
• cp_fastlane: The new version of cp_fastlane that came with the update will be used with immediate effect.

Basketball 2on2 Cup, Round 2: Default Dates

Only 5 out of 64 fixtures weren’t scheduled by the Deadline. All unscheduled matches were set to the following Default Date: Sunday, 1^st March, 19:30 CET.

Default dates

Today it is time to hand out default dates for week 6 of the league, and the first round of both the scout 2on2 and highlander cups. These are a lot of default dates. Please try to schedule your game and enter it in the calendar in the future. You have plenty of time to scheudle: use it. Don’t leave it to the last minute to contact your opponent.

Instagib problems

After the latest updates to TF2, the instagib mod does not work properly anymore on linux servers. When this will be fixed is still unknown. As many people are running a linux server, this poses a problem for our cup.

We ask windows server owners who are willing to lend their server for a few instagib matches to contact us. This way the cup can continue. If we do not find enough windows servers, the cup will be severely delayed, however we will try to continue the best we can.

I’d like to ask the involved teams to try and play their match as soon as possible,to make sure the cup can keep on running with minimal delay. If you are in need of a instagib server because yours is running linux, please contact an admin, so we can try to find a server for you from the  list wel will hopefully have available.

4th Cup finals

The 4th cup started last november with 128 teams. We’ve seen a lot of good matches, and a few steamrolls aswell. That is all in the past. There is only 1 match that matters now: the finals.

Team Dignitas, winner of the first and second ETF2L cup will be trying to claim the title for the third time. However their opponent isn’t the easiest one. In the finals they will face  Team Coolermaster, winner of our 3rd cup and season 3 runner-up of our league. They surely will want to prolong their title. The match will start monday, february the 23rd at 21:30 CET. Make sure you don’t miss it!

Gladly we managed to fill both doubled cup slot limits: An amazing number of 128 teams have signed for the Scout 2on2 Cup; 64 teams signed for our 2^nd Highlander Cup! Due to the last TF2 update we have edited the first number of all SteamIDs (0 has been changed to 1). Besides, we had to make a change in our config as one cvar was renamed (“mp_stalemate_at_timelimit” to “mp_match_end_at_timelimit”). Please update your servers with the new league config again [Download].

4^th Cup Final: Team Dignitas vs. Team CoolerMaster

On a little sidenote we would also like to announce the date of our upcoming 4^th Cup Final between Team Dignitas, winner of the 1^st and 2^nd Cup, and Team CoolerMaster, current Cup title holders. Both teams will meet next Monday, on the 23^rd February, at 21:30 CET. Match will be played as a “Best of 3” on badlands, well and granary with possible overtimes on all maps. Coverage details will be announced at the weekend!
