Scout 2on2 Cup: The show must go on

Sadly not many teams took part in the forum poll and it also ended in a draw (9 votes for poll option A + B). Still, it’s time to get this cup back on track, so we have decided for the mentioned rules below. There will probably be another rule change when there is a decent solution to remove First Blood.

The Community LAN

A very promising LAN called “The Community LAN” was announced last week. The LAN will be hold from 3^rd to 5^th July in Enschede, Holland. 54 TUP spots will be available and shared by all participants. More information can be found at the regarding website and forum thread.

The ETF2L “anti-cheat” department has certainly been working overtime this week, another hacker has been caught.

Whilst we were reviewing the evidence, mega’s account got VAC2 banned and he pm’d an admin admitting to what he had been doing. Unforunately he created a new account, with the same name, same team, avatars and friends. Both have been banned.

Another sad day for our community. Cheating is becoming a more frequent sight in etf2l.
In the last week we have uncovered more cheating and rule evading then I thought this community could ever throw at us.

1 Year bans:

• K1ck.Heliana – banned by sourcebans.net for aimbotting: link (public record).
• Ranger-Sensei – using a triggerbot in pcw\’s
• ColorZ.Flo – using an aimbot in pcw\’s
• ColorZ.Pomme – for using 3 accounts of which 2 are banned for aimbotting
• ColorZ.Rain– fake account
• Rantamplan (Popei) – fake account

Major warning (1 point deduction):

• 9th.forzew – for use of an illegal fastfire script

I’m afraid that’s not all. After looking into ColorZ due to what is mentioned above we
discovered that team ColorZ has been sharing their accounts with each other and with other people mercing for them.

Not knowing what to do with such a massive attempt to evade the rules of etf2l we decided that all accounts which were used in this account sharing scam will be banned until season 5 is over:

Highlander Cup: Round of Sixteen

Instagib CTF 4on4 Cup: Round 3

Also at the Instagib CTF Cup we have reached the third round. Due to the random seeding in this cup, the probably most amazing match will be played in this round. Ripulipimpsat with known players like m0re and agron is meeting EMT, the favorites with people like hymzi, bybben and Masiina in their roster. Watch out for possible Source TV if you are interested in watching this match!

Basketball 2on2 Cup: Round 4

On the basketball court we are one step ahead. The remaining 16 teams out of 104 are meeting in the 4^th Round. Some high skilled teams like .pt (Coinz & Haunter), Haircut and Sailor (appe & haza),  DATS (Nitro & Mr. Peckerston) or Blackxploitation (appz & Fiend) are still in and trying to shoot as much hoops as possible to reach the further rounds. Scout 2on2 Cup: Future

As it looks like Valve is nasty and don’t want to add a new cvar for removing First Blood on arena maps. We decided for another forum vote where every participating 2on2 team is allowed to vote in. Please tell us your opinion until coming Sunday, 23:59 CET. [Forum Thread]

a) Change to normal ctf/cp maps with a timelimit of 15 minutes/map

b) Change to normal ctf/cp maps with a winlimit of 5 captures

c) OMG WTF no arena maps??!!! Let’s just stop this cup.

Admin search

We are in need of some new admins again after we recently had some changes in our staff. As an admin you’ll help us with the day-to-day operations that come with running the competitions, as well as think with us about everything concerning the ETF2L. Everyone who is interested in helping out on the biggest TF2 league worldwide is invited to write an application to daykiller@etf2l.org. The following information should be inserted to your application:

• ETF2L nickname
• Real name
• Age (at least 18)
• Tf2 team (if any)
• Spoken languages (average English required)
• Any past general admin experience.
• Motivation: why do you want to join our team?
• Feel free to add anything else that might be helpful, or any questions you may have.

We are especially interested in people who can fulfill one or more of these special criteria (still other interested people also having good chances):

• PHP coder(s) with experience (to work on the website)
• Player(s) from a top team
• Cheating admin(s) with experience
• Players from Finland, France, Sweden or Russia

Cheating Issue – 1 year ban to K1ck.Payard

Oh yeah, another cheater guy! This time we have no other choice then banning Payard [Profile] from K1ck for 1 year because of using an aimbot in several matches. Some guys should start thinking and stop using illegal tools or they will be caught and banned soon aswell.
