The map pool has been updated with cp_metalworks, a 5CP map designed for and balanced around league play that has proven to be popular in the North American scene. cp_metalworks_rc5 is the version we will be using for Season 16 matches. The complete map schedule is as follows:

In order to disable certain abusive double Engineer and Sniper defense strategies, these classes are now limited to 1 per team. The complete rule reads as follows:

Highlander Nations Cup #2: Finland vs Sweden

There last thing left to settle in the Highlander Nations Cup is which team finishes third. In the bronze match tonight, Finland faces Sweden. Finland is looking for vengeance for the 0-6 defeat they suffered against the same opponents in the last edition’s bronze match. Is Sweden up to the challenge or shall the bronze trophy swap owners along with a €150 of prize money?

Here we go again. We’re proud to announce that the signups for Season 16 powered by BlackOut Gaming are now officially open!

Season Schedule

Signups: September 1 – 12
Publishing of Provisional Divisions: September 13
Publishing of Final Divisions: September 14
Schedule Week: September 15 – 21
Main Season: September 22 – November 9 (7 weeks)
Catch-up Week: November 10 – 16
Playoffs: November 17 – December 7

You can still sign up your team after September 12. Teams signing up later than September 12 will be placed on the waiting list and have a very high chance of replacing dead or dropping teams during the first two play weeks.

Sign-up process

Make sure to choose your desired division when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a division, feel free to apply for the division you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the division you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.

Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the division you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a division. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that if you opt for a zipped archives with tons of pictures attached to an e-mail, your application will be ignored. Keep it clean.

If you are applying for Division 6 (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level. This only applies to Division 5 or higher.

Please send your application to staff@etf2l.org. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored!

• Do not use HTML in your e-mail. If you want to add a link, just paste the link in the e-mail as you would enter it in your browser.
• Team name
• Team link on ETF2L.org

• Link to the online photo album
• Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the division you applied for (optional)

Nations Cup #4 – Quarterfinals: England vs France

The first of three games tonight is between England and France. Last edition’s champions, England, have not been quite on the performance level expected of them. Against as formidable an opposition as France this should prove to be a close match.
