Whitelist changes

New versions of the whitelists have gone live just now. This includes 6v6, Highlander, BBall and Ultiduo.

The changes include banning of noisemakers and other misc. items that do not necessarily add value to gameplay. The thought behind it lies in an on-going plan to unify the 6v6 and Highlander rules, configs and, as made apparent here, whitelists.

In addition to all noisemakers now no longer being allowed, the following items are hereby banned in all gamemodes:

Staff updates

• quintosh has good internet and time to help ETF2L again, and rejoins our AC Staff  as a full member.
• Freakie has done some impressive work during his trial period as Highlander Admin and is hereby promoted to full Highlander Admin.
• To continue the Retail Partnership Project Gentleman Jon has joined our staff full time in the Sponsorship department.

• Master of words, Chaplain, has decided to spend his time on things not necessarily TF2 related, and will as such be leaving us.
• Black_Bob no longer has the time nor the motivation to commit to being an admin.
• Veteran Netsky will be retiring to Honorary Admin, but rumour has it he may still be sharing some of his time with us during the off-season periods!

Season 16 powered by BlackOut Gaming – Playoffs & Tie breakers

The main season of ETF2L Season 16 powered by BlackOut Gaming is now over. All that remains is what you have all been waiting for: The conclusion of Season 16 in the Premiership Playoffs. There are also some additional tie breaker matches. Please note that we only create tiebreaker matches for ties that are relevant for pro- or demotions of a team or further playoffs. If two or more teams are tied for the 3rd place (or the 1st place in a division where the top 2 get promoted), all of them will receive a bronze (respectively golden) pixel trophy.

This 3-way-tie in Division 6m will work as a round robin league, each team will play the others over 2 maps in a mini league. The winner of the league will place 2nd in the division.

Format

All tiebreaker and Premiership Playoff matches are played as best of 3 maps. Any map from the Season 16 map pool can be chosen. In the Premiership Playoffs the Loser’s Pick system should be used, the team that finished higher during the Regular Season has the higher seed. For the tiebreakers, teams should use the Map Elimination System described here.

All Tie breakers have to be played by December 7th. If your match is not scheduled by November 29th a default date will be set by an admin.

Default Dates will be set where necessary. Playing a match earlier than the schedule suggests, is, of course, allowed and encouraged.

Prizes

A reminder that this season it is not only Premiership teams that are fighting for prizes this season! Thanks to private_meta, we had additional prizes in the following format:

•  Division 1 winner: €80
•  Division 2 winners: €40
•  Division 3 winners: €22.50

Just to clarify, that means every Division 2 winner (2a, 2b…) and every Division 3 winner (3a,3b,3c,3d…) will receive a money prize for finishing first

Highlander Season 5 Premiership: Kill Switch vs SNSD

In the premiership tonight, newly promoted Kill Switch take on SNSD. Due to some roster changes SNSD‘s results have been up and down lately, but even slightly handicapped they are the favourites to win tonight. Can Kill Switch turn their fairly average results into a surprise against the legendary SNSD?

Why should I help when all the money goes to Premiership Teams?

Currently with our funds and sponsorships we don’t have enough prizes to award to lower division teams. With additional funds we can look towards providing prizes for the lower divisions in the future.
