Final Divisions Released

The Final Divisions have been released, you can find them here.

Please also note that any teams without 9 players on the 3rd March could be dropped from Highlander Season 6. Make sure you have 9 players!

Staff Updates

For a while ETF2L has been headed up by a deadly duo, as opposed to the classic triple of Head Admins. However this period has come to an end as we welcome a 3rd Head Admin into the realm. This won’t come to many as a surprise, but Sonny Black is returning as Head Administrator after adventures elsewhere. We’d like to welcome him back and we are sure he can continue the good work from where he left off.

CHERRY is also working on a complete redesign of the website (see here and here) and is joining the Staff as a Site Coder. Please give him as much feedback on his work as possible!

The Provisional Divisions

The provisional divisions for Highlander Season 6 powered by Tt eSports have been released and can be accessed here:

If you are not happy with the division that your team has been placed in, please contact an admin using the Support Page as soon as possible. Keep in mind that much like during the signup process, you must provide evidence of your ability to perform at the level of the division you wish to enter. This means, at minimum, a screenshot album displaying performance of your team against other similar-skilled teams. These pictures can be taken from PCWs, scrims, cups, other leagues and so on.

Every team with less than 9 players by Monday 3rd March may get replaced. Please make sure you have enough players in your roster by this time.

Season 17 Premiership – Week 5: Dotter vs La Berrichonne de Châteauroux

In the featured match tonight Dotter take on Awsomniac. Awsomniac have only played 2 matches so far after BONNE AMBIANCE 2K14 dropped out of the league, picking up 9 points out of the possible 12. Meanwhile Dotter sit in 3rd with 12 points out of a possible 24. With both teams needing points to consolidate their playoff spots this should be a close match.

Highlander Season 6 powered by Tt eSports

Signups close tonight, Thursday 27th February at 23:59. Because we can only include teams in multiples of eight, signing up really late on Thursday may not guarantee you a spot in the season. So signing up sooner than later is recommended.

Sign-up Process

Make sure to choose your desired division when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a division, feel free to apply for the division you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the division you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.

Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the division you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a division. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that if you opt for a zipped archives with tons of pictures attached to an e-mail, your application will be ignored. Keep it clean.

If you are applying for Division 6 (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level. This only applies to Division 5 or higher.

Please send your application to staff@etf2l.org. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored!

It’s time for another season of Highlander!! We have some changes in store for Season 6 to be announced in upcoming newsposts – today we’ll start off with the weapon banlist and provisional map schedule for the season.

Signups & Full Schedule

Signups have opened and close Thursday 27th February at 23:59 CEST.

Provisional Unlocks

There are a few changes to note. The Crit-A-Cola has been banned, as we feel the benefits heavily outweigh the drawbacks. The Short Circuit and The Diamondback were added to the banned list halfway during Season 5, and will both be banned for Season 6. Baby Face’s Blaster recently had a few changes to buff it, and we feel it is too easy to maintain the speed buff without any significant drawbacks. The Reserve Shooter also had a few buffs, with the increased time to crit, and the extra clip we feel this weapon is also unbalanced and is banned. We have reviewed The Huo-Long Heater and decided it doesn’t warrant a ban and it is now allowed.
