Season 26 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Premiership Week 4 – Arctic Foxes vs Se7en

Date February 16, 2017

banner-s26-1920x1080

Of all its iterations, European Se7en is the only premiership-winning team to not have featured a German in its roster (excluding Rising, but he only played for half a season) since 2012, such has been the strength of German TF2 over the years. One person who has been there throughout to enjoy all the success is Germany schocky, the European Arctic Foxes leader and the most experienced player prem has at this point. Joining him is Germany ZYKAZ, who still doesn’t appear to have fully taken to prem yet, and Germany feeling, who most certainly has, by putting in some amazing performances so far. If he keeps up this level of consistency, he could be a contender for pocket of the season.

Up against them is the team of the season, for five seasons in a row. It would take a big performance to topple Se7en, and every week is another week closer to the season title as far as they’re concerned. Can the Foxes schock the champions out of autopilot, or will this just be another week of the season for them?

Season 26 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Premiership Week 4 – 3/6 vs top5rocket

Date February 15, 2017

banner-s26-1920x1080

Yet another ‘battle of the numbers,’ if your sense of humour is that pathetic / ironic. Regardless, this looks like it could be another 6 points for France top5rocket to add to their already impressive collection. They have already bested two very strong playoff contenders, and this looks like a step down for them in terms of opponent from their previous tough, yet successful, fortnight. They would be greatly disappointed to drop points here, and it would be a surprise, considering they have already been tipped by one ‘expert’ (who didn’t even make prem this season) to make top 2.

I’m not sure how many times I’ll have to say it this season, but UnitedKingdom 3/6 do kinda need to start packing in those points if they want any chance of not being in the bottom two this season, and they need to start really scrapping for them at some point. Fingers crossed, we have a tight game here tonight…

Season 26 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Premiership Week 3 – 3/6 vs ChampGG.K!

Date February 13, 2017

banner-s26-1920x1080

UnitedKingdom 3/6 have so far had a completely unsuccessful season, finding themselves unable to beat Se7en (justifiable) and Lowpander (more disappointing). They need to find some edge over an opponent, and have looked soft so far. This could be a tough fixture for them, given that European Unexpected managed to soundly beat that same opponent, Lowpander, in week 1. The boys, led by Slovakia adysky, haven’t looked like the most unforgiving lineup themselves, but form and skill would suggest this should be a clean six-point sweep for them. 3/6 need to jump-start their season sooner rather than later, and you’d hope to see them show some serious desire in this match, if only to try and deny their opponents the playoff season they’ve been steadily working towards.

Staff Changes & Recruitment, and a Ban

Date February 13, 2017

Staff Changes

Finland Bloodis has decided to return from their absence and is returning to the ETF2L Staff as League Admin.

Additionally, England NYK and Slovenia Jan have both completed their trials and we are proud to announce England NYK as a new Newswriter, and Slovenia Jan as a new League Admin for ETF2L.

Staff Recruitment

Regardless of the exact line of voluntary work you’re interested in, you should take a look at this site, listing some general information regarding working with us. If you have another task you would like to perform within the ETF2L platform feel free to apply as well(with appropriate data on the task).

League Admins

We are once again looking for more volunteers to help run and maintain the league.

Among other things league admins take admin requests on IRC, deal with match conflicts, handle the setting of Default Dates and the verification of played matches. They also create and oversee cups.

Dealing with match conflicts is a task that has to be addressed in a timely fashion. Additionally providing support during match times is quite important. therefore we cannot really employ admins who have team commitments every four to five times per week. Same goes for creating and overseeing cups. It is always easier said than done, having the idea and setting up a cup is only a small part of actually running a cup. Being there when the cup is under way, providing match support, addressing conflicts, lending out servers, seeding further rounds, verifying finished matches and many more tasks have to be handled, while possibly over 100 matches are going on simultaneously, you may not be alone, but you will be part of it.

Also something we want to address is our interest in self-managed admins, we will not take you by the hand and lead you through everything there is to do. YOU have to show interest, YOU have to ask what you can do, YOU have to prove you really want to be an admin. There are plenty of admins around almost all the time, who are happy to help you and show you the ropes, but at some point routines will have to be dealt with without someone telling you that they need to be done. At the same time, communicating with other admins is very important, to avoid certain tasks being done twice, conflicting results in decisions or even decisions overwriting previous ones.

If you are interested in supporting the administrative backbone for the league, you should also check out the details on the respective application page, this will tell you which information we need from you at the very least.

Ban

It has come to our attention that Russia AUTOKRAB has abused the RCON of another teams’ league match, and thus will be banned from ETF2L for the remainder of Season 26.
