Season 26 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Premiership Week 5 – top5rocket vs Se7en + 3/6 vs nunya

Date February 23, 2017

banner-s26-1920x1080

So. This is it. The teams that have clearly looked like team 1 and team 2 so far this season, finally facing off against each other. European Se7en haven’t shown any weaknesses since the loss of godlike scout UnitedKingdom Starkie, but France Néo could be the one to finally expose any cracks the star of seasons past may have left. However, that is not what is expected. Se7en have won so many seasons, with so many different rosters, that it doesn’t seem to matter which players fill out the lineup. In fact, of their original season-winning roster of season 21, only Netherlands kaptain remains. They are perfectly poised to take this season, and it’s up to top5rocket to make the big statement, and go for some big points in tonight’s game. If you’re gonna watch one game of the regular season, make it this one.

European Se7en [6:0] France top5rocket

Meanwhile on the second stream…
With both sides languishing near the bottom of the table, there is little more than pride on the line in this fixture. However, this can often lead to the most exciting games, and with Ireland Crayon recently saying that playing scout was “the most fun he’s had in TF2 in ages,” we will hope to see him and others revealing new layers of talent only laid-back gamers can muster. There may not be playoff places on the line, but there is certainly a lot of face to be saved here tonight.

Ultiduo Cup #6 Powered By: Serveme.tf

Date February 19, 2017

Ultiduo Cup #6 Banner

Its been a while but here we are again. This time around we’re having our friends over at serveme.tf sponsoring us. So a big thank you to Netherlands Arie. But let us not go on with the small talk for too long and jump straight into the action.

*UPDATE 2*

Another sponsor has appeared. This time around it’s Malta Snack with a BIG 42 keys!

*UPDATE*

Austria Kuferl is joining in on the sponsor listing as he donated 90 euros to the cup!

We’ve added a rule regarding weapon pickups and swapped out ultiduo_seclusion_b3 for ultiduo_grove_b2.

WHAT IS ULTIDUO

For everyone who never heard the term “Ultiduo” before: One medic and one soldier per team face off on the King of the Hill map. Whoever holds the central capture point for a total of 5 minutes, scores one point. The team that first scores 2 points, wins the map. There are some tactics, such as bombing the enemy medic while the allied medic stays in spawn or suiciding (as medic) if it becomes obvious he is going to die and lose his uber percentage anyway.

Season 26 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Premiership Week 4 – Lemmings vs Lowpander & Champ.GG K! vs nunya

Date February 18, 2017

banner-s26-1920x1080

Another double bill, and a chance to see where European Politically correct pander stand: playoff contenders or just playing to avoid the bottom? They have looked more than decent so far, and with the addition of legendary player Finland cookye (possibly, if ‘internet issues’ don’t strike again), can they make that top 4? Getting six points here over Germany Lemmings will certainly affirm these targets.

Meanwhile, European Unexpected look to hoover up more points versus a lower tier prem side. Despite just being edged in week 2 against top5rocket , they bounced back convincingly last week, and will be favored to gain six points here without a hitch, and inadvertently compound SouthAfrica nunya‘s dire season.

League Admins

We are once again looking for more volunteers to help run and maintain the league.

Among other things league admins take admin requests on IRC, deal with match conflicts, handle the setting of Default Dates and the verification of played matches. They also create and oversee cups.

Dealing with match conflicts is a task that has to be addressed in a timely fashion. Additionally providing support during match times is quite important. therefore we cannot really employ admins who have team commitments every four to five times per week. Same goes for creating and overseeing cups. It is always easier said than done, having the idea and setting up a cup is only a small part of actually running a cup. Being there when the cup is under way, providing match support, addressing conflicts, lending out servers, seeding further rounds, verifying finished matches and many more tasks have to be handled, while possibly over 100 matches are going on simultaneously, you may not be alone, but you will be part of it.

Also something we want to address is our interest in self-managed admins, we will not take you by the hand and lead you through everything there is to do. YOU have to show interest, YOU have to ask what you can do, YOU have to prove you really want to be an admin. There are plenty of admins around almost all the time, who are happy to help you and show you the ropes, but at some point routines will have to be dealt with without someone telling you that they need to be done. At the same time, communicating with other admins is very important, to avoid certain tasks being done twice, conflicting results in decisions or even decisions overwriting previous ones.

If you are interested in supporting the administrative backbone for the league, you should also check out the details on the respective application page, this will tell you which information we need from you at the very least.
