Season 26 – Wrap-up

With Season 26 over  Se7en claimed their sixth title in a row with the Season 26 title along with €500 of the prize pool.

The winning squad is comprised of:

• Thalash (Scout)
• Puoskari (Scout)

Arctic Foxes earned 2nd place, winning €300 and top5rocket won 3rd place, securing €200

The One Night Cup is Dead! Long live the One Night Cup!

First congratulations to all the teams that won or took part in the first One Night Cup. However now it is time to focus on the whitelist, for this cup we are going to be testing two changes to the Global Whitelist. We will be unbanning the Solemn Vow and banning the Vaccinator, and Crusaders Crossbow the cup whitelist can be found here. This cup will be using more conventional maps, cp_process_final, koth_product_rc8, and cp_gullywash_final1. Signups are open until the 28th of April with the cup taking place on Saturday the 29th

This cup will use the same 4 team round robin format of the previous One Night Cup. Season 26 rules will apply unless specified in a news post.

• 19:00 – cp_process_final
• 20:00 – koth_product_rc8
• 21:00 – cp_gullywash_final1

For this cup one mercenary is allowed by default and up to 2 mercenaries are allowed if the opposing team agrees. In order for your mercenary to be allowed by default, he cannot be more experienced than the tier the match is being played in.

A player counts as “experienced” in the tier if, during the last three seasons, they played 3 or more officials in that tier. For this cup, we will look at matches from Season 24, 25 and 26. If a player is on a roster of a team in a higher tier than the match in question, he cannot be claimed as a default merc.

It took a while to set up this highly anticipated award show… But it will be worth the wait!
You do not want to miss it,  when the best players and casters receive their respective awards for the last season at around 20:00 CEST tonight.

The groups and fixtures are now out for One Night Cup: Episode 1 The Maps. They can be accessed either by clicking the links in this article or in the sub menu at the top of the page.

A reminder that this cup has three rounds

• 19:00 – koth_bagel_rc2a
• 20:00 – cp_granary_pro_rc8
• 21:00 – cp_sunshine

The winner of each group will get a pixel trophy on their team page. Remember to play golden cap rounds on granary pro and sunshine draws are not a valid result. Any games submitted as draws will be coin flipped for the golden cap. The rules for the cup are the same as season 26, there is no default merc.

Instead of a standard preseason cup over a few days we have decided to run two smaller one night cups, one for testing new maps and one for testing new whitelists. First up will be the map testing, followed by the whitelist testing after which the signups for Season 27 will open. Both 6v6 and Fun Teams can signup.

Both cups will consist of 4 team Round Robin groups with all games taking place over one day at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00 CEST. These groups will consist of teams around a similar skill level, the winner of each group will get a pixel medal on their team profile.

One Night Cup: Episode 1 The Maps will take place on koth_bagel_rc2a, cp_granary_pro_rc8, and cp_sunshine using the same whitelist as Season 26. Signups for the map cup are open until the 21st of April with the cup itself taking place on Saturday the 22nd.

The Whitelist Cup will take place on standard maps however an experimental whitelist will be used. More details such as the exact weapon changes and maps will be released when the signups for this cup open on the 23rd of April with the cup being on Saturday the 29th.
