Highlander Nations Cup #5: Captains and Fixtures

Groups and Fixtures are now out and can be accessed from the competitions tab.

Due to the amount of teams signing up not allowing for a standard tournament structure we have had to create an unorthodox tournament structure in order to fit all the signed up teams into the competition.

There will be a high seed group of four teams of which all will make playoffs. The remaining 24 teams will go into six groups. The top two teams from each of these six groups will advance to playoffs to join up with the four teams from the high seed group in a 16 team bo3 single elimination bracket.

LEGO vs. nerdRage

The remaining Danes (and assorted Europeans) of LEGO face the French might of top5rocket tonight.

LEGO had a fairly gentle welcome back to the premiership last week in the form of nunya, only dropping one round as they collected their easy 6 points. Meanwhile, last season’s bronze medalists top5rocket traded maps with ANTIC, and will be looking for a clean victory this week.

Unexpected did what their name mentions and had themselves a default win in their week 1 match against Politically correct pander. Meanwhile Arctic Foxes had to take on the Se7en as a repeat of last season’s final.

Se7en came out on top in their first week rematch of last season’s grand finals, only dropping 2 rounds against Arctic Foxes. Meanwhile, nunya fared less impressively, picking up zero points from their clash with LEGO.

In Week 2 of ETF2L S27, Politically correct pander take on ANTIC on Badlands and Reckoner. Politically correct panderhave had a shaky start to the season, giving an unexpected default win to unexpected due to some unexpected internal issues. However, they seem to have their issues sorted out, and will be trying to redeem themselves this week. ANTIC (+ ondkaja and – Serotone) traded maps with top5rocket last week, losing Process but taking Badlands convincingly. With Serotone hopefully back and Badlands still in the rotation, ANTIC will be looking to blast right through Politically correct pander.

Casters will be Beater and Dolly, with gemm on production.
