You have got to be kidding me.

I agree, that does sound a bit off, would be like saying I became a prof tennis player after watching a few games of R.Federer playing on TV.

When thinking about the topic itself, I would probably ask what kind of childhood one has, what is his relationship with his parents and the overall interaction from the community he lives in towards him and the other way around. I can’t imagine someone with good morals and respect for others going out, getting a gun and starting killing people for any reason at all. There has to be something seriously wrong in the first place that could impel one into doing something like that in real life.

There was a similar docu on a german TV station a few years ago where they specifically tested brain activity while playing FPS’ and the only conclusion they could draw was that someone who plays FPS a lot would be able to click the mouse faster than someone who doesn’t. The whole notion of videogames being responsible for violence is so ridiculous to me, I can’t fathom how ‘the public’ is buying into it.

Probably because ‘the public’ is stupid!

Also it’s a nice get out clause. There’s nothing wrong with our society, except violence portrayed on tv and in games, BAN IT ALL!

Anathema

Yes ban violence from televisions and computers, that’ll work!
Just like when they prohibited alcohol!!! Oh wait…

ups

Well it’s always comfortable to blame the videogame content.

“He was a good little boy, but when he started playing that violent Pacman game, he had changed immensely! “
