THIS POLL IS MADE TO FOOL AND DECISIONS ARE FAKED, NOTHING SHOULD BE TAKEN AS GOSPEL FROM THIS POST.
With the poll 6s season 1 match away from ending & the Highlander season close to starting, we are happy to share some announcements for the upcoming 6s and Highlander seasons! Below you can find all the info on the Premiership Qualifiers for Highlander Season 35 and the results from the Feedback Polls we asked you to fill out!

6v6 Season 51

Announcements

First, the roster lock for Season 51 will be removed after the Division 3 Grand Final tonight. In the coming weeks, we will announce the details of the award ceremony, the feedback polls for season 51, and the schedule for the upcoming 6s summer season & the 6v6 Nations Cup. Also, keep your eyes peeled for a surprise cup!

Upcoming whitelist changes for Season 52

Following the completion of Season 51 & PoLANd 2026, there was a lot of discussion among highly skilled players surrounding the base jumper and how effective it was during Lan. After gathering feedback from the community and analysing the current whitelist and any recently discovered glitches, we have come to the following conclusions:

First, we recognise the recently popularised tech with the base jumper that allows for further jumping. As we believe this to be a skill mechanic, we have decided to allow this. However, any scripting to make automatic use of this base jumper tech should be placed up for review by our anti-cheat team.

Second, we recognise the potentially strong impact of the base jumper on gameplay, specifically the last points. As was demonstrated by Brazil D M, the potential impact of this weapon when properly used can be great. After some discussion, we concluded that there are 2 paths forward: ban the base jumper or unban weapons that make pushing last easier.

Lastly, it was made apparent that pushing last in general is too hard with the current whitelist. For this reason, we are proposing the following unbans ahead of 6v6 Season 51:

  1. Unban Quickiebomb Launcher to allow for easier destruction of sentries
  2. Unban Diamondback to allow for more impact of spies on last.
  3. Unban Market Gardener to create more scenarios where last holds can’t be properly set up.
  4. Unban Loch-n-Load also to allow for better destruction of sentries and easier killing of pyros and heavies.
  5. Ban Jag, engineer is overpowered on the last and needs a nerf.

You will be able to give your feedback on these changes in the upcoming feedback poll. However, shortly after the completion of this season, we will be updating the whitelist for the off-season so it can be tested during the next 2 months of scrims. The final decision will be made ahead of Season 51.

Highlander Season 35

Premiership Qualifiers

Based on previous season’s performances, the following teams have secured their places in Premiership for this season:

Additionally, based on their roster strength, their peformance on cp_steel_f12 and the results submitted to the admin team, we have decided to bring the following teams into Premiership without them having to go through the qualifiers:

Which leaves us with the following 4 teams to battle it out for the remaining 2 spots in Premiership:

Premiership Qualifiers

This leaves us with the last 2 spots being decided in the Premiership Qualifiers between 4 teams in a Double Elimination format. The first matches will be:

The winners will go on to play against each other in the Upper Bracket final, with the winner of that game claiming a Premiership spot for themselves. The losers will play each other in the Lower Bracket. The winner of that game will then play the loser of the Upper Bracket Final for the last Premiership spot.

Pick/Ban Format & Map Pool

Teams will follow the pick & ban process outlined below, using only the following subset of maps:

Both teams need to agree on who eliminates first. If the two teams cannot agree, they need to perform a Heavy Fist Fight [Explanation]. The winner of this Heavy Fist Fight can decide which team is Team A and which is Team B.

  • Team A bans a map
  • Team B bans a map
  • Team B picks a map
  • Team A picks a map
  • The remaining map will be the decider

Feedback Poll Results

Before the start of the season, we ran the Highlander Experimental Cup #10, this time run in close cooperation with active mappers. At the end of this cup, we asked players to fill out the cup feedback form as well as vote for recent experimental maps that could potentially replace upward as the 2nd payload map for the season. We further asked players to vote for their favourite maps in the pre-season poll to decide the remaining maps for week 5. Here we will show you the final results and what decisions we will be making regarding changes for this season.

Maps

For this season, in week 4, we will be running pl_prowater_b12 due to this map receiving the most votes on the preseason poll. This map received wide support from players across all levels of play. Prowater was closely followed by pl_swiftwater & koth_proot_b5b, and then by most other koth maps and gullywash. This poll had 255 respondents; respondents were allowed to select up to 4 answers.

Fake poll #1 April Fools!

We also had the Experimental Cup #10 polls; these polls were there to decide if any of the recently played experimental/alternative payload maps would replace upward for the upcoming season. Here, Tetsudo beat out Borneo also by a margin of 1 vote! However, in the feedback polls, we received feedback that Tetsudo should take the slot of a KOTH map. We agree, so we have decided to change the TOW result from mp_winlimit 3 to mp_winlimit 2. Furthermore, because of this, we now need another koth map. We have decided to include the highest-voted KOTH map from the poll above as well. Week 5 will thus consist of tow_tetsudo_b10c & koth_proot_b5b This poll had 140 respondents; respondents were allowed to select up to 2 answers.

Fake Poll #2 April Fools!

We also then had the follow-up poll to confirm whether we were still going ahead with force-changing a payload map for the upcoming season. Here, the results were mixed. On one hand, there is a clear majority of 55.6% that are clearly done with playing both upward and vigil every single season. This confirms the feedback we have been getting for seasons that continuously playing the same 2 payload maps is not really what the community wants. However, on the other hand, it is clear people do really love upward as an even clearer majority of 73.9% want upward in the season. After some discussion, we decided to stick with replacing upward as the map for the upcoming season. This poll had 153 respondents.

This poll is actually real, but the interpretation will be different. Real map pool can be found on the season home page thats not april fools.

The final maprotation for Highlander Season 35 is thus as follows:

  • Week 1: pl_vigil_rc10
  • Week 2: koth_product_final & koth_ashville_final1
  • Week 3: cp_steel_f12
  • Week 4: pl_prowater_b12
  • Week 5: koth_proot_b5b & tow_tetsudo_b10c

April Fools Day, he’s the biggest fool of etf2l and that is you, Emiel. You have lost the fans tonight. You don’t deserve the fans, you don’t deserve anything from this league. You got the job on a technicality of a legend who recommended you. You are nothing, you are a fool, and you are a waste of time, good night!

“unban quickie or diamond back or market gardener or loch n load to make it easier to break last” Jesus Christ we need admins that aren’t open. Banning Jag isn’t too bad but the problem is with breaking a fully set up last, making it longer to set up a proper last hold doesn’t fix the issue completely, stock also as a higher repair rate meaning guns can live longer while being spammed.
