Highlander Season 17: Playoffs and Tiebreaker Scores

Date December 24, 2018

Welcome everyone to the conclusion of the 17th season of ETF2L Highlander for Open, Mid, Division 2, Division 1 and Premiership.

We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

All tiers will have playoffs, all playoff matches will be using the Map Elimination system. Note that all dates are estimates and teams are able to negotiate other days by scheduling with their opponents.

If you find yourself on the list of these teams expect an admin to add you and request your availability, if there is no information or insufficient information given we will have to decide your match dates for you. Keep in mind that we will try and accommodate both teams, but the match date may still vary from your provided days, if for example none of the days match with your opponent, but your opponent offered more days than you did. Deadlines listed for the matches are flexible and may be changed in certain situations if admins are contacted about allowing extensions on these.

Schedule

For Mid and Open tiers, the schedule for the playoff matches will be the following.

  • Quarter final matches will be played from 6th – 12th January.
  • Semi Finals will be played from 13th – 19th January.

ETF2L Highlander S17 W5: JOEYOTECH Feila vs. Super Dickmann’s KANNONEN! & kiti s bakenbardami vs. Tourettes Frenchclub

Date December 13, 2018

With the last two games of the regular Premiership Highlander season on the cards tonight, join us as we look at both games, and what all four teams will be looking to accomplish.

JOEYOTECH Feila vs. Super Dickmann’s KANNONEN!

Earlier this week, we watched SaudiArabia GRAHAM GAMING and Poland inVision battling over a spot in the ETF2L Premiership playoffs. With TORPEDO taking Tuesday’s game as a 4-2 win, Luxembourg Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! will need to put on a show for their playoff hopes to be fulfilled. To make matters more complicated, this won’t be easy, as their opponent tonight is not only top of the table, but unbeaten along the way: Poland Feila finanzieren durch DROPS.

In this best of three on Badwater, only a win (or a Golden Cap victory) will guarantee SDCK a playoffs position. With a full six points, they’ll be the higher seed against SaudiArabia GRAHAM GAMING. A golden cap win or loss puts them as lower seed. And a loss (or GC loss) will see inVision take their place.

There’s no such angst on the side of Poland Feila finanzieren durch DROPS, who’ve done a sterling impression of their American namesakes. Should they walk away from tonight’s payload even empty-handed, they’ll still be comfortably top of the table, with Grand Finals firmly in their sights.

Will it be an invincible season for Joe and co? Or will the KANNONEN blast into playoffs contention once more? Join Spain CeeJaey and European jakeowaty on KritzKast to find out.
