Similar to Season 32, we’ll be hosting a vote to decide on some of map pool. With us already having announced 6 of the maps that will be in the season this will be a shorter poll.

This poll will get closed on Friday at 23:00 CEST and we will announce the finalized map pool shortly after.

With the ETF2L Season 33 Award Polls still open for a few hours (until 20 CEST) the closing ceremony will be an awards show where the winners will be presented their pixel trophies.

Welcome everyone to the conclusion of the 19th season of ETF2L Highlander for Open, Mid and Premiership. As there are still matches to be played for Division 1 and Division 2 tonight their respective playoffs will be added later tonight.

We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

All tiers will have playoffs, all playoff matches will be using the Map Elimination system. Note that all dates are estimates and teams are able to negotiate other days by scheduling with their opponents.

If you find yourself on the list of these teams expect an admin to add you and request your availability, if there is no information or insufficient information given we will have to decide your match dates for you. Keep in mind that we will try and accommodate both teams, but the match date may still vary from your provided days, if for example none of the days match with your opponent, but your opponent offered more days than you did. Deadlines listed for the matches are flexible and may be changed in certain situations if admins are contacted about allowing extensions on these.

First Up, the Preseason Cup

We’ll be running a simple single elimination cup on cp_propaganda_b16. Teams will be split into brackets of 8 meaning that at the time of signups closing we’ll be rounding down to the closest multiplication of 8.

This is a one-night-cup on September 8th the time schedule is as follows:

• Round of 8: 19:00 CEST
• Round of 4: 20:00 CEST
• Finals: 21:00 CEST

Signups will close on September 7th at 20:00 CEST!

In less than two years since I had joined ETF2L in 2013 as a normal player like everyone of us, I had applied myself to a 6v6 League Admin position that was open in 2015, ever since that day I’ve been able to have an unforgettable experience being a part of this league growing up within the current state of TF2. However from this day onward I will be resigning from my duties of being a Head Admin in the league after being involved in the league for over 4 years, more than half of the time I’ve even been able to play TF2 for.

I’ve always wanted to help out everyone in the league with any concern that has come up a discussion whilst still caring about the top level competition that this game also has, however as I have lost the personal interest to keep that up I still do have high hopes for the current ETF2L staff on being capable to still run everything smoothly. If you do not believe that, then I dare everyone who doubts that to apply to an admin themselves! I know >99% of the people who will read this won’t do so, but I will be positively surprised of that <1% that I hope to see in the trial admin position soon, most hopefully as a proper league admin even.

Anyhow, during my time here I want to personally thank Aoshi, DCS, Sonny Black, Permzilla, Menty, Moist, emb, Amaterasu, Lazybear, soda, Morphine and proky for making my time here as an admin enjoyable. Not to mention the other former and current admins I had not mentioned here, you all are valuable for keeping this legendary project up!
