Ireland however is a homeland for ex-Epsilon player  Predz, who may impress many with his insane deathmatch and gamesense. Unfortunately neither of teams won their week1 games but the winner of this game may still stand a chance to fight for spot in the playoff stage.

Last match for tonight is gonna be a game between Czech Republic and Germany. Although Germans have many well-known players in their team like Thy*, basH and schocky, the Czech’s do have some raw talents in their lineup, for example Hitm@n and #n00pe from the div2 winning team, unity. Both teams have won their games in week1 (Czech, however, were given a default win from the Egyptian team) so the winner of this game will pretty much have a secured route to playoff stage. According to Homer J the game is going to be played half an hour earlier than the defaulted schedule.

 

HL Nations Cup: Sweden vs. England

Tonight we will also see a next Highlander Playoff match featuring teams from Sweden and England this time. Both teams are full of very experienced players in both 6v6 and 9v9 game types. Both have the tactics knowledge taken from their home Highlander division 1 clans like SNSD and May Contain Nuts, which means its gonna be an equal match and not going to be easily forgotten. Another game in our Highlander Nations Cup schedule is between France and Spain. France had no problems in their very own group, beating all teams 6-0 and winning it. Spain however had to give default win to Netherlands, a team who they faced in groupstage tiebreaker. Highlander Mixup Match #4

Over at TF2 Mixup they have hosted another showmatch featuring online celebrities, TF2 pro’s, and TheSucker. They have raised nearly $10,000 so far and if you want to donate through chip-in, visit their website. All the money raised will be going to Child’s Play to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world, with games and toys.

6v6 Nations Cup Reminder: Schedule Your Matches!

Once again the reminder for all team captains: If you do not want to play your week 2 match on your group’s default day you have to schedule your match on the ETF2L calendar until Sunday, July 22. Once you agree on a scheduled date, it should not be changed (apart from the time that can be rescheduled by a couple of hours to accomodate different timezones).

Highlander Nations Cup Reminder: Playoffs are Live!

The tournament tree for the Highlander Nations Cup Playoffs has been created. All Round 1 matches feature pl_upward in a “Best-of-three” series and need to be played until Tuesday, July 24(included). Please schedule the matches yourselves as soon as you can and let the admin staff know if any problems occur. Default dates for matches with no schedule proposals will be distributed on Saturday.

Conversely Russia is traditionally a strong team – which once again applies here featuring almost all of uV Gaming, Season 10!’s Division 1 winners. On paper this should be an easy game for Russia, but there are always plenty of things to trip over. Will we see Russian dominance or will sheer determination (and a lot of luck) pull through and produce a Romanian victory?

Staying in the David vs Goliath area, the mighty TF2 giant Finland (or as some people like to call them: Winland) takes on the tiny dwarf Luxembourg! Finland’s lineup is not known yet, but with  Hymzi,  Hocz,  Rebeli and a list of names capable of making 2 premiership teams on their own it will certainly be one of the most capable ones we will see this Nations Cup. Facing them will be Luxembourg who, while not lacking in enthusiasm, can not boast an equally impressive roster. Their most well-known player is long term ETF2L Admin  Netsky (the famous D’n’B and electronica DJ).
