Season 13 finalized divisions, pre-season qualifiers, cheating policy update, bans

Finalized divisions

We have addressed feedback received from the Provisional Divisions and released the final Group Tables, which can be found below. If your team did not make it into the final divisions, you still have a chance of being substituted for a team that drops early in the season.

All teams that still have less than 6 players (or get less than 6 players in the next few days) should take care to add their last player until Wednesday, September 12. We reserve the right to replace all teams with less than 6 players with a team from the waiting list at that point. If you are still in the process of trialing but are positive that you will get your last player in time for the new season, you should contact an admin to explain the situation.

For everybody else it is now time to schedule the week 1 matches! Default dates will be set on Friday, September 14, for all week 1 matches without schedule.

Premiership/Division 1 Qualifiers

We asked all teams to provide their preferred playdays for the upcoming week. The original plan included a one night tournament, but some teams had a busier schedule than anticipated. We have settled for a schedule that should best accommodate all teams involved.

A full run-down on the schedule, brackets and other information pertaining to the Qualifiers can be found on their hub page.

The first matches are already kicking off tonight.  Latvia Team Atomic and Finland Lutuset (20:00) as well as European the new one and UK TwistedPlay (20:30) fight for their place in the Division 1 Qualifier Final.

The Premiership Qualifier between European ALUMINUM and Russia uV Gaming is covered live by VanillaTV with Netherlands ThePledge and Norway HeavyIsGPS, starting at 20:00 CEST. The winner advances to the finals, which will be played tomorrow night.

Cheating policy update

For Season 13 onwards, we are extending our zero-tolerance policy to cover cheating committed outside ETF2L matches. Should we obtain conclusive evidence of a ETF2L player cheating in Team Fortress 2 in PCWs, scrims, on MGE/DM or other public servers, they will be banned from all ETF2L competitions for one year.

We are offering a time-limited opportunity for cheaters to turn themselves in to receive reduced bans. Any cheater who turns himself in before the ETF2L AC staff obtains proof of his exploits, will be banned for 7 months instead of 12 (two 6v6 Seasons instead of three, bans will expire in April instead of next September). This opportunity closes in two weeks on Sunday, 23rd of September.

Bans

Based on evidence provided by AnAkIn, the following players are now banned from all ETF2L competitions for one year.

Promotion: Announcing the Tt eSPORTS Level 10 M Mouse

Date September 10, 2012

Going into our third ETF2L season sponsored by Tt eSPORTS, we are happy to announce that our 6v6 league sponsor has officially released their new Level 10 M Mouse worldwide at major retail stores.

Collaborating with BMW DesignworksUSA for the second time, Tt eSPORTS introduced the Level 10 M Mouse first at the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 in Las Vegas. Now it is finally here, available at your local retailer anywhere in Europe, in multiple colorways. What sets this mouse apart from the rest is the attention to ergonomics that went into the design process. The ergonomic design is no longer a fixed angle or height, but adjustable via what Tt eSPORTS calls 3D Steering Axis Movement. Other notable features are the Air-Through Ventilation System that reduces the rise of temperature of the hand in case of heavy use and the Solid Aluminium base that makes the mouse one of the toughest and most durable of its kind.

The mouse is a two-part construction, with the upper half steadily floating above the base. Made of an alloy also used in aeronautics and architecture, Level 10 M is both lightweight and immune to corrosive effects. The top part, where the gamer’s hand would be resting for hours during competitions, can be individually adjusted for height and lateral inclination.

The Level 10 M Mouse is a programmable gaming mouse capable of using the most comprehensive software application to customize settings based on gamer’s needs. Specifically, the Z key can be programed to switch up to 5 gaming profiles. Other features such as the polling rate and the 7 lighting-effect colors are also customizable through software. The sensitivity can be adjusted from 800 to 8200 DPI.

When will we see the first fragvideo performed with this mouse? For more information on the mouse please visit the Level 10 M product page and the official Tt eSPORTS press release.

We are proud to announce the Provisional Divisions for Season 13 powered by Tt eSPORTS! We would like to stress that the provisional divisions are provisional (who would have thought?) and may be still subject to change.

>>>Provisional divisions<<<

If you are not happy with the division that your team has been placed in, please contact an admin in IRC as soon as possible. Keep in mind that much like during the signup process, you must provide evidence of your ability to perform at the level of the division you wish to enter. This means, at minimum, a screenshot album displaying performance of your team against other similar-skilled teams. These pictures can be taken from PCWs, scrims, cups, other leagues and so on.

The divisions will be finalized and divided into groups on Sunday night.
