Nations Cup #4 – Round of 16: Belgium vs Spain

Before i49, there is a bit of Nations Cup action when Belgium faces Spain. Both teams were eliminated on this round in the last edition, and are now looking to best that record. On paper the teams look fairly even but only one can go through.

Last month, I overtook previous Head Admin Crasp in the number of taken admin requests (3794 vs 3768). With this last achievement and a heavy heart, I hereby resign from my duties at ETF2L with immediate effect and take my place in the ETF2L Admin Hall of Fame. For some, it might not come as a surprise, as I was involved in several other projects for the past months and have also already publically stated that I am going to leave the ETF2L staff as soon as the preparations for my leave are finished.

I am proud of what we have achieved together during the 3 years that I was admin of this league and am grateful for the people I met and the experience I could gather. Every second was enjoyable. I feel, I have given this league enough of my time to expect everyone to understand my decision. This community will always have a place in my heart and I still play the game and will be involved in TF2 related projects in the future.

There is no doubt that ETF2L can continue without me. I was barely involved in any admin working for the past weeks and nothing has fallen into pieces.

With CanFo resigning from his Head Admin duties the timing could not be worse for another leave. Fact is that I will be stepping down from my Head Admin to an Honorary Admin position, since I am going to lead the European Team Fortress 2 divisions for ESEA.

It was one of the hardest decisions in my admin career, looking back at almost 2 years of working my way up, investing an endless amount of time and effort to help ETF2L become what it is today. On the other hand ESEA offers great potential and might be exactly what is needed to bring the TF2 community forward. Once again I am willing to give the best I have to offer to establish it in Europe for the best of the game we love.

I am glad for every contribution I was allowed to make over the course of the past six 6vs6 seasons and I am hoping to be able to contribute as much to my prospective employer.

With those 2 leaves consigning quite the gap in the admin team, we are happy to introduce         Permzilla as the newest member of the Head Admin team. He and emb will take over the tasks and responsibilities previously held by CanFo and Sonny Black. Congratulation to the well deserved promotion and all the best to the ETF2L staff, present and past!

Season 15 powered by BlackOut Gaming – Wrapup

Season 15 has played host to a plethora of interesting events, including ETF2L’s first ever 3-way Mexican Stand-off, the continued reign of Season 12-14 champions Epsilon and a series of excellent Premiership debuts. The VoDs of all playoff matches from VanillaTV and TeamFortress.TV are available on the their respective YouTube channels. We strongly suggest taking the time to watch them, if you have not already, as those last matches of the season turned out to be the best matches of the season and the casting brought the excitement to fever pitch.

It is our pleasure to announce that the reigning champions, Epsilon eSports, have emerged as the winners once again, securing 500€ from the prize pool, courtesy of BlackOut Gaming as well as 6 Club 3D Radeon HD 7850 royalKing, courtesy of Club 3D.

The winning squad is comprised of:

The 2nd and 3rd place are a copy of Season 15, with broder coming 2nd taking home 300€ and Team Infused (formerly known as Crack Clan) coming 3rd getting 200€ for that.

Also worth mentioning is that Reverto managed to come out on top of Division 1 after winning a tie-breaker against Furbo Pandas. But Furbo Pandas dont have to be sad pandas, since they won a very close playoff game versus Last Man Standing securing their Season 16 Premier Division spot, while sending the Russians back to Division 1.

All pixel trophies have been given out. In case you spotted a mistake, please contact the admin staff. In-game medals will be distributed to all participants as soon as they are added to the item schema.
