Signups: April 20 – May 1
Publishing of Provisional Divisions: May 2

Main Season: May 11 – June 28
Catch-up Week: June 29 – July 5
Playoffs: July 6 – July 26

Please note that Playoff dates are subject to change due to tiebreakers and other unforeseen circumstances.

You can still sign up your team after May 1. Teams signing up later than May 1 will be placed on the waiting list and have a very high chance of replacing dead or dropping teams during the first two play weeks.

Sign-up process

Make sure to choose your desired division when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a division, feel free to apply for the division you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the division you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.

Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the division you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a division. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that if you opt for a zipped archives with tons of pictures attached to an e-mail, your application will be ignored. Keep it clean.

If you are applying for Division 6 (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level. This only applies to Division 5 or higher.

Please send your application to staff@etf2l.org. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored!

• Do not use HTML in your e-mail. If you want to add a link, just paste the link in the e-mail as you would enter it in your browser.
• Team name
• Team link on ETF2L.org
• Division you apply for
• Link to the online photo album
• Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the division you applied for (optional)

UPDATE: The map has been updated with a small bugfix to ctf_turbine_pro_rc4 – this will be the version used in the cup! DOWNLOAD HERE

To kick off Season 18 and to give teams an opportunity to play ctf_turbine_pro_rc4, updated recently by Starkie, before the actual season, we decided to create this very cup. It will also give teams new to ETF2L a chance to try out the whole ‘official match’ process and result submission before the actual season – hopefully decreasing the amount of issues during the actual season.

There will be, depending on the number of signups, several brackets to accommodate different skill levels, each consisting of four groups of four teams each. This group stage will be played on Sunday, May 4th. The top two teams from each group will proceed into the knockout stages on Tuesday, May 6th. If any tiebreakers are needed after the group stages, they will be played on Monday, May 5th.

Both standard 6v6 and fun teams are eligible to enter the cup and can sign up here. Don’t forget that two default mercs will be allowed so your 6v6 team might just be viable after all!

Sign ups will close on Saturday, May 3rd, at 12:00CEST or when there’s a total of 128 sign ups, whichever occurs first. Teams signing up after either will be considered as replacement teams for teams dropping on short notice!

Highlander Season 6 powered by Tt eSPORTS Premiership – Week 7: Checkers enthusiasts vs Splendid-Gaming

We’re in our final week now with Tourettes Chessclub against Fair Enough. During the weeks gone by, both teams haven’t had the smoothest of rides with multiple losses on either side but with the season nearing its climax, results from all matches tonight will define the intense playoffs stage and who will be within a chance of the lovely prizes. Season 17 powered by Tt eSPORTS – Wrapup

The 17th 6v6 Season of ETF2L has come to an end after 3 months of matches across all divisions, and we finally know the champions of Europe. It is our pleasure to announce that Made In Germany <3 Admirable <3 Thun, have emerged as the winners, securing 500€ from the prize pool as well as 6 Tt eSPORTS Cronos Gaming Headset courtesy of Tt eSPORTS. 

The VoDs of all playoff matches from BlackOutGamingTV and TeamFortress.TV are available on the their respective YouTube channels.

The winning squad is comprised of:

And thanks to  private_meta for donating €252, we had additional prizes available to hand out in the following structure:

•  Division 1 winner: €80
•  Division 2 winners: €47
•  Division 3 winners: €26

It is also worth mentioning that Lethal Weapon convincingly won Division 1 this season, and we will hopefully see them in the Premiership Division next season! 4-25 successfully won their premiership tiebreaker against LEGO to earn their spot in the Premiership Division next season.

In the other playoff and tiebreaker matches, Phase won their tiebreaker to earn their place in Division 1 for next season. You can check all the playoff and tiebreaker results here.
