Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS – Week 2: coolclan vs E-SHOCK ESPORT

A return to week 2 today when European coolclan take on France Salty Frogs. After rising from the dark depths of Division 1 it’s a chance for France Salty Frogs to get vengeance on European coolclan who knocked them out in the qualifiers. After a rather harsh introduction to the Premiership by their fellow countrymen, tonight is their first chance to pick up some points. Likewise, European coolclan is on the lookout for more points after picking up one against Russia 4-25 yesterday. The teams look pretty even so this could be a cracker!

Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS – Week 3: Ze Knutsson Rollerbladers vs Planet Express

A whole load of matches in the premiership tonight, starting off European Ze Knutsson Rollerbladers against Finland Planet Express. Both teams feature in the classier section of the table in 3rd and 2nd places respectively with impressive results in the first weeks. They met each other before the season in the TF.TV Invitational when it finished a close 1-0 to European Ze Knutsson Rollerbladers. Judging on that there isn’t much to split them but maybe a standout play from either camp can make the difference?

Highlander Season 7

It’s time for our 7th season of Highlander! After an amazing Season 6 it’s time to dust off the weapons, servers and headsets. We have some changes in store for Season 7 to be announced in upcoming newsposts – today we’ll start off with the weapon banlist and provisional map schedule for the season.

Signups & Full Schedule

Signups have opened and close Thursday 23rd October at 23:59 CEST.

<<<SIGNUP>>>

  • Publishing of Provisional Divisions: October 24
  • Publishing of Final Divisions: October 25
  • Schedule Week: October 26 – November 1
  • Main Season: November 2 – December 20 (7 weeks)
  • Catch-up Week: Played by January 4
  • Tiebreakers and Playoffs: January 4 – January 24

Sign-up process

Make sure to choose your desired division when signing up. If you created a new team or feel you can jump a division, feel free to apply for the division you believe you deserve you should be in. To prove you are capable of the division you applied for, we require you to submit screenshots of results from your recent practice matches or tournaments where you scored decent results against teams that play on the level you aim for. The quantity is not the most important factor in this case, it’s more of a helpful measure for us to figure out if your team will be able to keep up with the pace. There is no magical, minimum or maximum number of screenshots that you have to submit.

Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the division you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a division. The screenshots have to be uploaded to an online image storage service (for example, you can use imgur or Dropbox). Keep in mind that if you opt for a zipped archives with tons of pictures attached to an e-mail, your application will be ignored. Keep it clean.

If you are applying for Division 6 (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level. This only applies to Division 5 or higher.

Because we can only include teams in multiples of eight, signing up really late may not guarantee you a spot in the season. So signing up sooner than later is recommended.

Please send your application to staff@etf2l.org. The division assignment request has to include the following information in order to be considered. Incomplete applications will be ignored! Please remember you have to sign up through the site by clicking SIGNUP at the top of this post and selecting the correct team and competition!

  • Do not use HTML in your e-mail. If you want to add a link, just paste the link in the e-mail as you would enter it in your browser.

Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS Premiership: E-SHOCK ESPORT vs La Berrichonne de Châteauroux

Date October 14, 2014

Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS – Week 3: E-SHOCK ESPORT vs La Berrichonne de Châteauroux

It’s the french championship tonight when France Salty Frogs play France Awsomniac. Coming late to the season after replacing the dropped GG.WP France Salty Frogs haven’t yet played a single game. After an up-and-down performance in the Qualifiers dropping nearly condemned them to playing out the season in Division One they now need to get some real momentum to prove that their loss in the qualifiers was just a mishap. France Awsomniac put on a tremendous show against European SUAVE last week and look by far the favourites going into tonight. Can France NiCO god's hand‘s ridiculous APM save France Salty Frogs from a defeat?

Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Week 2 Report Card

Date October 11, 2014

3final

Week 2 results are trickling in, but another earthquake has already rocked the Premiership with Russia Lethal Weapon dropping from the season, the sheer chaos of the lineup changes proving too much for the team leadership to hold together. So what does this mean for the weekly reports? Because France Salty Frogs are being drafted in to replace them, the week1 game is being dropped from these rankings, but I probably won’t do this for drops that happen later in the season, it depends on how unfair it may make things for the other teams.

While we’re on the subject how does this all work anyway?

Yes it is stats based, but I’m not just comparing stat lines, who got the most frags, damage and all the usual. There are a couple of extra wrinkles being taken into account, firstly who did you get those stats against? Compiling better stats against stronger teams means you get more credit than crushing the dungeon dwellers. Secondly, what type of game was it? If it’s a defensive game where everyone on the server got low frags and damage numbers that shouldn’t be to their detriment compared to players who played in high damage aggressive games. The result might be that someone’s raw stats don’t look particularly impressive but the wider context makes them a big achievement.

Enough rambling, on with the call outs Read the rest of this entry »
