As the mid-season tumbleweeds continue to blow through the schedule a mere 2 games were played this week, with coolclan facing Awsomniac and Ze Knutsson Rollerbladers facing off against upstarts Salty Frogs. Despite these having all the appearances of crushing rolls both games were hotly contested and the results may have far reaching consequences for the playoffs and beyond.

On the team of the week front I’m changing things up a bit to show who is the most highly rated player in a position as a result of their cumulative performances, but also show who has had the best week in terms of personal improvement which should give more scope for the lesser lights to feature. I’ll be restricting it to active players this week. Is that even more confusing?

Season 19 powered by Tt eSPORTS – Week 5: coolclan vs La Berrichonne de Châteauroux

More premiership action tonight when coolclan take on Awsomniac. It has the looks of a fairly onesided affair looking at the two teams on paper with coolclan having only one point so far while Awsomniac are in the contention for the top spot on the table. A win tonight would put the frenchies very close to securing their spot in the playoffs with 2 games remaining. Likewise coolclan will be keen to pick up some points to distance themselves from Politically correct pander and straight relegation at the bottom of the table. It doesn’t look like there’s an upset on the cards but you never know. The only way to find out is to tune in!

Bans

A player has been spotted with recent VAC bans affecting Team Fortress 2 and thus is now banned from ETF2L for 1 year:

The following players have not provided a requested demo for the second time in a row. They will be banned from ETF2L for 2 weeks.

Lacoste has been caught playing on an alt account in Season 19. He will be banned from all ETF2L competitions for 1 year. All matches played in the lower division on the alt account Rupture will be defaulted, and the account will be blacklisted.

Provisonal Divisions

The signup count for Highlands Season 7 powered by Tt eSPORTS is 128 teams. The divisions are still subject to change, there is no guarantee for anyone except those teams who earned promotion or stayed comfortably in the middle of their division.

If you are not happy with the division that your team has been placed in, please contact an admin in IRC as soon as possible. Keep in mind that much like during the signup process, you must provide evidence of your ability to perform at the level of the division you wish to enter. This means, at minimum, a screenshot album displaying performance of your team against other similar-skilled teams. These pictures can be taken from PCWs, scrims, cups, other leagues and so on. However we do not necessarily take into consideration screenshots that were submitted after the deadline.

If you cannot find your team on the Provisional Divisions you most likely ended up on the Waiting List. That can happen, even if you sign up in time, because we can only fit in teams in groups of eight. So signing up on the last day is always a risky thing to do. But as already stated elsewhere, during the first two weeks between 10-20 teams will drop out of the season. Those teams will then be replaced by teams on the Waiting List.
