Time has gone by fast at DeutschLAN 2016 so far. The teams are ready, the servers are ready, only question is: Are you ready?

Friday (Day 1) casts:

The stream will be going live at 20:00 cest over at BlackoutTV!
The opening match of this year’s DeuschLAN will be between maLANhoeloe and Iro and 8. Depending on how fast games are progressing, we will either tune in to the round 1 match Team Nein! vs. Here for the Beer of group B or bring you the round 2 match between LANpander and  maLANhoeloe. Definetly on the menu will be an all German battle between  Team Nein! and  LOL Germans as the last game of the evening.
Leading you through this evening of LAN-action will be jakeowaty. Brace yourselves for a heartwarming “Yaaaaaooooooooo” as  eXtine is joining him on the microphone for our round 1 matche(s).

Saturday’s games start at 11:00 cest

No time for lazy gamers on saturday! DeutschLAN resumes just before noon, delivering you quality entertainment during your brunch.
LAN favourites and two times defending ETF2L champions Strong Opinions will be challenged by Iro and 8, brought to you by the deadly duo Maxi and Hildreth. Other possible matchups to be casted are

Fair Enough | duscheLAN vs. Doctors Of Mediocrity,
Strong Opinions vs.  maLANhoeloe and
Fair Enough | duscheLAN vs. LOL Germans.

After a lunch break the last round of the group stages will start at 15:00 cest with the clash of  Strong Opinions and LANpander with   eXtine and atwas in the casting booth.

At 18:00 cest BlackoutTV goes live again with one of the two semifinal matches before we wrap up the long TF2 saturday with our bronze match at 21:00.

Throughout the event “saviour of lifes” Jon and “Kappa Ambassador” Arjax are going to lead the production and cameras.

Scores from all matches will be published on our DeutschLAN.tf website and on the DeutschLAN comp.tf wikipage.

UPDATE: We will be banning Atomizer and B.A.S.E. Jumper in line with ESEA  and ozfortress. The new whitelist link will be whitelist.tf/competitive_6v6, which should be updated soon. The rest of the whitelist will remain the same. Thank you for your dedication and vocal response, and we hope to get more feedback from you as we go along with this inter-league cooperation.

With the 25th 6v6 Season around the corner, which is essentially a Silver Anniversary for the league (!), we have some very exciting announcements to make.

Global cooperation

ETF2L has worked alongside ESEA, ozfortress and UGC in order to unify the whitelist used in the 6v6 gamemode. This process was led by the crème de la prèm of each region’s competitive players, in order to take advantage of their deep understanding of the game. The whitelist is, by design, as open as possible, disallowing only 20 weapons total!

Nations Cup #6 powered by Tt eSPORTS: Wrap-up

The sixth ETF2L Nations Cup has come to a close. 32 teams in total signed up for this tournament, and they have been whittled down to our winner – France. Congratulations to France for winning the Nations Cup for the second time in a row! Team captain Medico had the following to say:

“The cup was really enjoyable, we spent a lot of time training with our team and I think that’s why we won this afterall. We wanted to win this for the second time in a row and show that even without some previous top French players France is still there. I am sad that this cup didn’t have more coverage but we did have some casters anyway to help out. Thank you for the cup and time.”

Insomnia 58 was a feast for every Team Fortress 2 lover out there. Now it is time to move on… On to another LAN! The one, the only: DeutschLAN 2016!

These 10 teams will be playing in two groups of five teams each in a Round-Robin format. The first two of each group advance to a single elimination knockout stage. Teams that have been knocked out will be playing the equal seat of the opposing group in a game for 5th, 7th and 9th place respectively.

The Finals have arrived. Germany will be going at it against France. Which country will come out on top, who will be capable of calling themselves the best for the next 2 years. Well you can find that out tonight over on Wiethoofd's twitch channel as he'll be on the camera with Beater and CeeJaey as casters.

This is the first time these 2 countries faced each other in the 6 editions the 6v6 nations cup has had so lets see what has granted both of them their spot in the finals!
