Fresh Meat Challenge Groups Out! And updated rules!

Date April 11, 2017

FreshMeatCup

The groups for the Fresh Meat Challenge sponsored by Scrap.tf and MarketPlace.tf are now out! The groups can be seen here, along with the fixtures here. The fixtures themselves will be generated tonight (11/04/2017) at midnight. Once the fixtures are generated team leaders will receive an email informing them of the date, time and opponent of the fixture, this information is also available on your team profile. Your team leader should add the leader of your opponent’s team to allow easy communication regarding servers, mercs, and other issues. For a more in depth guide on how ETF2L matches work click here.

Make sure you set your teams availability if you want to be able to influence what day your fixtures will be played on. This can be set by team leaders here by clicking Edit Availability for your team. When the fixtures are being generated our system will look at both teams preferred days and times and choose a date that is the best for both teams, this date can be changed if both teams agree.

Teams are free to play on International servers and negotiate times that suit each other however non-EU teams should take note that as this is primarily a European League, teams from Europe will not be forced to play matches on servers outside of Western Europe or at times outside of common European playtimes (19 to 21 CEST) – Unless they agree to do this.

We have checked through every team roster and removed any players that were over experienced, if you have any questions about why a player was removed or anything else do with the competition please contact us on our Support Channel.

Updated rules

We have also updated some rules on our General Rules page, the updated rules are listed below here:

2.2 Only players with correctly entered Steam IDs are eligible

All players need to be registered on ETF2L, with their SteamID linked to their profile. Using a player not registered on ETF2L will result in the match being defaulted in the opponents’ favour.

A player that’s not verified on a team’s roster by the official match start time as listed on the match page (listed as unverified on the roster, or not on the roster at all) count as merc. Players are verified after being rostered for 24 hours. Competition specific rules apply.

4.5 Maps need to be played in the set order

Maps are required to be played in the order as they are mentioned on the match page from left to right. Teams may play already set season/cup maps in a different order if they choose to, but only if both teams agree to it.

6.7 Masking ping is not allowed

It is prohibited to alter or mask your ingame ping. Players found manipulating their ping may be punished by a minor warning in any competition where this is used.

Monday Night demo bans

Date April 3, 2017

Demo Bans

The following players have failed to upload demos twice, and have been banned from the league for two weeks:

The following players have failed to upload demos three times, and have been banned from the league for two months:

A reminder to our players that per the ETF2L rule 2.4, Every player has to record demos. Even though I’m writing this as the AC senior, the majority of demo requests are requested at random partly to make sure our players record their demos. Important to note that we also reduce or remove these bans if the requested demos can be provided. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need assistance.

Have a nice day people.

Public Service Announcement: Season 22 Medals Distributed

Date March 27, 2017

medals

Good news everyone! Clear your backpacks and phone your parents, MEDALS ARE BACK! After many hours of hard work, we have finally been able to work out a method that will properly distribute league medals. We understand this is long overdue and we would like to thank you all for your patience in this matter and apologize for the delay, but now that we have done it, we will aim to complete medal distribution in a matter of weeks after the season ends, opposed to a matter of years!

We will begin by distributing Season 22 medals, which should appear in your TF2 Item Backpack next time you launch the game. In order to receive a Season 22 medal, you must have been rostered before the roster lock date (November 7th, 2015)

If you have not received a medal and think you should have one, or you have any feedback, please contact an admin on IRC.

Edit; We couldn’t contain our own excitement and due to there being not a single wrongly distributed medal yet we’ve gone and distributed:

  • Highlander Season 9
  • Highlander Season 10 Premiership
  • Ultiduo Cup #5

When checking if you were eligible for a season make sure that you were rostered at the time of the roster lock and that your team didn’t drop from the competition!

But wait, it isnt over yet so keep your eyes peeled, one of the following evenings we’ll distribute:

  • Season 23
  • Highlander Season 10 Main Season
  • Highlander Season 10 Premiership – 4 teams

We will also contact Valve to add Season 24, Season 25 and Season 26 medals to the game, along with Highlander Season 11 and 12 medals, Highlander Open #2 and Ultiduo Cup #6. A schedule for distribution will be released in the coming weeks. For those curious about the Fresh Meat Challenge, we are in the beginning stages of organizing Medals for this competition and further updates will be provided at a later date.

Thank you for reading and we appreciate your continuing support.
