The 5 week long regular Highlander Season 12 is over, but the playoffs have just begun!

Tonight we have the first Semi-Final in the High tier between Lucrosa and CRAZYBWAII Clan. Both teams have fended off the very best High had to offer to now battle for a potential at reaching the glamorous tier above, Premiership.

The winner of today’s matchup will move on to the Grand Finals, either facing the many Germans found in open_squad or the Russian-dominated kiti s bakenbardami. Can Lucrosa rise up to the occasion without choking? Or will CRAZYBWAII Clan use this to their advantage to bypass their old rivals?

Monday Night Bans

The following players have been caught cheating by our Anti-Cheat team. They will be banned from ETF2L for one year:

• Spooky – ESP

The following player have been found evading their ban, and will have their bans extended:

• AUTOKRAB – 6 months

Any recent matches played by above accounts will be defaulted to the opposing teams.

The following players have been caught with VAC bans affecting TF2, and will be banned from the league for one year:

As these players have not been caught cheating by our staff, their match results are not affected.

Due to  Spooky‘s ban some of Magnificent Bastards games were defaulted. This has affected the tiebreaker scores and seedings for the Open Playoffs. Please ensure you check your team profile and email to see if your game was affected. All previous agreements regarding mercs, maps etc with your old opponents no longer apply if your game has been altered.

Welcome everyone to the playoffs of the 12th season of ETF2L Highlander. We hope you enjoyed the matches, and for the teams that made it through, congratulations.

All tiers will have playoffs, all playoff matches will be using the seeded Map Elimination system. Note that all dates are estimates and teams are able to negotiate other days by scheduling with their opponents.

If you find yourself on the list of these teams expect an admin to add you and request your availability, if there is no information or insufficient information given we will have to decide your match dates for you. Keep in mind that we will try and accommodate both teams, but the match date may still vary from your provided days, if for example none of the days match with your opponent, but your opponent offered more days than you did. Deadlines listed for the matches are flexible and may be changed in certain situations if admins are contacted about allowing extensions on these.

Premiership

For Premiership a 3 team bubble bracket will be used.

The groups and fixtures are now out for One Night Cup: Episode 2 The Whitelist. They can be accessed either by clicking the links in this article or in the sub menu at the top of the page. The whitelist for the cup can be found here.

A reminder that this cup has three rounds

• 19:00 – cp_process_final
• 20:00 – koth_product_rc8
• 21:00 – cp_gullywash_final1

The winner of each group will get a pixel trophy on their team page. Remember to play golden cap rounds on process and gullywash draws are not a valid result. Any games submitted as draws will be coin flipped for the golden cap.

For this cup one mercenary is allowed by default and up to 2 mercenaries are allowed if the opposing team agrees. In order for your mercenary to be allowed by default, he cannot be more experienced than the tier the match is being played in.

A player counts as “experienced” in the tier if, during the last three seasons, they played 3 or more officials in that tier. For this cup, we will look at matches from Season 24, 25 and 26. If a player is on a roster of a team in a higher tier than the match in question, he cannot be claimed as a default merc.

Due to feedback we have received we are making a small adjustment to the test whitelist for the One Night Cup being held on Saturday. In addition to the unbanning of the Solemn Vow and banning the Vaccinator, we are also going to ban the Crusaders Crossbow. The new test whitelist can be found here.

In order to change the whitelist on a server running TFTrue execute the following command “rcon tftrue_whitelist_id 7170”.

The signups for this cup are will be open till tomorrow evening at 22 CEST so you still have time to signup if you have not done so. The Groups and Fixtures should be out within a few hours of the signups closing.
