Announcing Highlander Season 13!

With  Super Dickmann's KANNONEN! claiming their first title, we are pleased to announce our first summer highlander season. All the information regarding the coming Season can either be found in this newspost, or will be released shortly!

The same whitelist as Season 12 will be used, if the pyro/jungle update happens mid season we will update the whitelist. The map pool for the season is the same as Season 12. Matching the change in our 6v6 leagues friday will now be an option for teams to play on.

Season Schedule

• Signups: June 26 – July 14, 21:00 CEST  (Premiership signup deadline is July 7)
• Publishing of Provisional Divisions: July 14
• Publishing of Final Divisions: July 15
• Pre-Season Playoffs: July 8 – July 15
• Main Season: July 16 – August 18 (5 Weeks)
• Playoffs: August 27 – September 10

If you intend to sign up for the Premier Division we encourage you to do so as soon as possible due to the Pre-Season Playoffs. We will only consider teams for the Pre-Season Playoffs that signed up before July 7 21:00 CEST. Additionally we expect teams without a guaranteed Premier Division spot to be able to play all of the days mentioned above.

There will be a week gap between the main season ending and the playoffs starting due to the insomnia 61 LAN taking place that weekend.

The last week of the group stage is upon us!

As the sun sets for last possible day to schedule an official in the fifth Highlander Nations Cup, BlackOut TV will be covering the thrilling clash between two teams with rosters filled with both skill and prestige. The two maps are koth_product_rc8 and cp_gullywash_final1, undoubtedly a varied and interesting matchup between the cold Nordic country Finland, and its bicycle-loving adversary  Netherlands.

Join the casting duo consisting of Baba Carlos, also known as CeeJaey and polof with Dutch broadcaster genius, Wiethoofd on BlackOut TV at 21:00 CEST!

Finland is managed by streamer and Tomislav monster  Qnai. The one team of all Highlander Nation Cup contenders with the most overall practice is undeniably  Finland. Having played over five weeks in the ongoing UGC Season 22 adds up to quite a big amount of minutes together in the same mumble channel. Despite this, many consider this edition of the Finnish roster to not live up to its players generall quality, for example losing out to Norway on cp_steel. If  Finland wants to surpass  Netherlands and subsequently advance to the playoffs, roban, Qnai and Scyper will have to step it up with better coordination.

Netherlands is led by notorious Premiership Spy  Nightmare. Over the course of the group stage in the Highlander Nations Cup, the country made up of coffee shops has managed to top Group Four. So far, Netherlands is undefeated, having disposed of both  Norway and Croatia in two swift 6-0’s. The red, white and blue combination has grown into a quite a formidable team throughout the season. However, if they would secure themselves a playoffs spot tonight, key players such as  Nightmare,  Jelly and  Forty-Two will have to pave the way.

Round three in the Highlander Nations Cup will have a total of six games played this very evening! Due to limitations in the sheer amount of broadcasters and casters available however, each and every game will sadly not be covered. Instead, one game of week three’s koth_product_rc8 and cp_gullywash_final1 will be casted thanks to the amazing volunteers behind BlackOut TV. 

Tonight’s cast will either start at 21:00 or 21:15 CEST, depending on what game will be covered. Longtime veteran Hildreth will guide us through the match together with Buck824 as the casters for this evening. Behind the camera is none other than Wiethoofd.

With the Highlander Nations Cup underway, lets start the preparation for Season 13! This cup will focus around testing the updated version of cp_alloy_rc2a with the cup consisting of groups of 4 teams playing each other in BO2 games. We are using a shorter schedule cup due to the busy schedule at the moment.

CUP FORMAT AND SCHEDULE

Each tier is divided into round robin groups of four teams meaning there could be multiple groups for each tier.

• Group stage round 1: June 24th 19:00 CEST

• Group stage round 3: June 24th 21:00 CEST

We’ve got fox on panda action tonight on TFTV!

Arctic Foxes bounced back from their week 1 spanking by Se7en with a convincing roll of unexpected last week. Similarly, after throwing away their first 6 points of the season in a tantrum over server hosting, Politically correct pander came back to surprise everyone with a victory over ANTIC, prompting them to undergo an early roster shuffle.

With the loss of ex-Se7en scout Puoskari to the devious snake that is amppis, Arctic Foxes have had to change their line-up ahead of this week’s match, picking up Thaigrr in return from ANTIC. Meanwhile, Politically correct pander‘s own ex-BazookaSports scout Funs looked on the top of his game last week, and at the time of writing still hasn’t quit to join another team.
