    This match will be played as a best-of-three.

    The winner of this match will advance to the Grand Finals.

    Maps will be decided using the following Map Elimination System:

    Alles Door Oefening Den Haag is the higher seed, so they may pick if they are Team A or B.

    Dear teams,

    Due to “The Compound” using a permanent merc the match will be defaulted in favour of “Alles Door Oefening Den Haag”.

    1.3.1. “Permanent mercenary” are not tolerated

    A player can only be used as a merc a limited number of times for the same team during a competition (regardless of the player being an approved merc or a default merc). The limit depends on the season length:

    7-week seasons → maximum of 3 matches
    5-week seasons → maximum of 2 matches

    Exceeding the allowed limit will result in the player being considered a permanent merc for that team, and the team may be subject to penalties.

    Once a player has reached the maximum number of allowed merc appearances for a team, they are no longer eligible to play as a merc or join that team for the remainder of the competition.

    All cases of players being caught or reported as permanent merc are reviewed individually, with any decisions being made at the full discretion of the admin team. All circumstances will be taken into account.

    Note: In accordance with [General Rule 2.3], two team changes per competition are tolerated.

    In addition to that a minor warning has been issued to “The Compound” for using a permanent merc.

    We messed up, good luck in the finals. I hope you guys are able to put together a strong roster. We will be cheering for you!

    To the admins: Perhaps this warrants looking at the permanent mercenary rule in the future. Does it really make sense to lump all the officials together, playoff or not? Also, it would be nice to keep all involved teams in the loop if things like this come up again. We’ve struggled a fair amount scheduling our games around the LAN. Judging by the delayed fixtures I assume this did not come up today. If it did then I don’t think there’s much more that could have been done and I commend you for handling it so quickly.
