Related bump: I've got a bit of text now that I move out of the screen that I want to fade out at the same time. However, dragging a fade out onto it just replaces the move out. It's currently either fade out or move out but I want both. How to do that?

How do I get the transitions on the clips in Sony Vegas? Almost every transition I try and drag onto the clip is either nonexistent or 0.01 seconds short (and as such invisible). :S
Transition length is decided by the overlap of the 2 clips.
