odd.

i don't think many people use vegas movie studio platinum here (most people, myself included, just use the pro version), but I wouldn't have thought that they would have removed something as basic as the fade functionality.]]></description>

    	    <description><![CDATA[Transitions are generally pretty bad anyway. A good old fashioned cut is the best thing to do 99% of the time, although blur in/out's and flash in/out's can work stylistically if used correctly.

But those stupid dissolve things and the like, ewww... Just don't use them. :)]]></description>

    	    <description><![CDATA[Yes, overlap two clips and you can drag transitions of top of it - to get back the old default crossfade right click the transition and choose "convert to crossfade"

Note that you can also drag transitions on top of fades and not only transitions... so you can fade a clip in with a certain look]]></description>

Transition length is decided by the overlap of the 2 clips. So you drag it into the overlap of the two clips not the clip itself.]]></description>
