also the idea is that you dont remove -dxlevel 81 as that command just disables the enhancements that some overlays dont support... it does not point to what dxlevel ur game should start at

kind of, i can remove dxlevel from launchoptions now and have the same fps as with your command, but i still dont have an overlay...
so all in all it changed nothing.

Go and fiddle with your driver graphic settings. I'm sure you properly configured something before in your drivers, that made it run that way. Most people would for example set everything to "performance mode" inr their drivers (Deactivating v-sync, textures on low quality e.g)

sounds legit, even if its really weird.

Finally found someone with the same problem as me :D

I share your pain kr4tos, with the most recent drivers i just can't have both the overlay and high fps. For me, if i switch to old drivers (i believe 296.xx, so im talking about nvidia cards here) the overlay works and the fps drops aren't as massive. Hope it helps :D

I noticed that sometimes FPS are good with High textures instead of Low textures, most likely because Video card does not support low textures or something, basically i dont see any difference in FPS with High, medium or Low textures, which is strange tbh
