i just had activated the "energy-save-mode at my laptop, cause i was watching something in the late night. and had no power-cable for my laptop... and this reduced the performance obviously...............

    	    <description><![CDATA[Do you mean you put it back in (after removing it previously) or you had left it in and now you've removed it?

Are you running fullscreen mode? I run borderless windowed in order to be able to tab in and out quickly.

I've also found issues with steam overlay recently, just assumed it was me doing something stupid :D]]></description>

i just left my dxlevel (-dxlevel 80) in the launchoptions!!!
now i get like 200-300 FPS!

...fml i dont get this shit...

but i cant use my steam overlay now, also it takes really long to tab in/out.

    	    <description><![CDATA[Having the same problem :'(

Used to be that a couple months ago I was on a steady 300 fps (for whatever reason that was what my config was capping it at and I couldn't be bothered to change it).
Now though, my FPS will drop, sometimes as low as 50 :/
And it's only happening on TF2 - all other games seem to be fine and get the FPS they should...
Tried everything (except Razer's Game Booster shit - will probably try that later tonight...but really, I shouldn't need it...this PC is less than a year old &#62;_&#62;), including prioritising TF2 and deleting every process under the sun.
Life sucks.]]></description>
