Found the fucking problems.

1) Steam cloud kept resetting everything back to xbox controller even after using the undo command, so I had to turn that off and do it again.

2) It had taken off fast weapon switch, so I had to go into the settings and click the box again to enable it.

unbind all?

If I unbind everything then I guess I can play but I like my personal binds and way of switching between weapons, I don't wanna use the default. Just want my stuff to work again.

I have all my bindings in autoexec and in soldier.cfg. None of these seem to be getting executed, either that or they're then getting overridden by another config setting everything to shit.

I don't have a valve.rc :(

In your cfg folder, check if a file named valve.rc exists. If it does, delete it.

valve.rc is basically just another config file, except it is executed before any other. By default it's not in your cfg folder (it resides in one of them .gcf files). No clue if it is actually used to swap between keyboard and controller or not, just a guess, but it would make sense. Either way, deleting it if it's there will cause TF2 to use the default one in the .gcf file again.

that title worked so much better than I could have hoped

I plugged in the xbox to play dark souls, and I had the brilliant idea of using it to play some tf2. I went into the options and clicked enable gamepad, had a go with it for a while then unclicked enable gamepad.

All my binds are now broken, I can't fire or use my kill bind or anything like that. Autoexec is the same, as is soldier.cfg and I tried deleting config.cfg but it made no difference. Already tried exec undo360controller and it doesn't do anything. What the fuck have I done and how do I get it back?
