I've had this problem for 3 years, except my screen doesn't turn black. My computer suddenly freezes, and the last sound played is looped every second or so.
It happened a lot before, but then it got less and less frequent. I've only had a few of those crashes the last half year or so. Geforce 9800gtx here on Win 7, running on lowest quality possible. Happened on Vista as well. Ram is fine, I think one of the cores in my processor is a bit fucked though.

Hello.

This have been affected me those days. I have so powerful PC and I run tf2 max-graphics.

The problem is while I'm playing TF2, I can play for some minutes, but at a random point, my screen turns black and the sound stutters, my PC isn't switching off, it continues on, but I can't do anything on my screen, and in my earphones I just can hear the sound looped. So for using my pc again I just can reboot from the button.

P.D: I'm using NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti.
