I had that as well, but the fog was annoying so I changed to 95

Dont run dx90, run dx95 or 98, at least that's what fixed it for Stark, and I have been running 98 all along and didn't see the fog.]]></description>

HUD elemnts don't render properly / at all at lower resolutions  (eg can't see chat at 640x480) so this lets you increase your fps by reducing 3D rendering resolution but keeping 2D res the same.]]></description>
