for what it's worth, all I do is discard the first demo of the day (the time portion of which will be between 400 and 1000 ie 4am to 10am), and the daily server restarter seems to be violent enough that the server never saves its last demo of the day. That weeds out 90% of useless demos imo... this could either be run daily, or with a more sophisticated system a la slate

Apologies for slightly off-topic;
How bothersome is the delay of a day? Our servers have stv demos available within 10 minutes at the cost of some server load to synchronise them with the web folder. If the day delay is not such a big deal I might consider doing the same..

On our servers, i have a cronjob checking the servers for active players every 5minutes and if there aren't any it moves the demos and logs. It used to do it once a day, but usually when you want to upload logs/share stv with opponent, you want to do it right away and discuss/watch stuff right after your pcw'ing.

It doesn't record the first and last map of the session so it starts on 2fort and once we change it records the rest until the last, so then a quick restart as you finish....speaking of which...hang on...ahem, and we have them all the next day.

I'm upping them here: http://rcz.dk/demos/
So I imagine that's something like what you have.

I will try out TFTrue, I've been looking for something lightweight and cba to learn SMs weird language.

I can't believe this is so hard to do.
First of all, the tv_autorecord command will record pretty much everything and that takes up loads of space.
I wrote a script to clean it up once in a while, but it's hard to tell the difference between a real demo and rubbish.
Then I found a SM plugin called matchrecorder which sounded exactly like what I wanted, and it worked perfectly - 50% of the time. It's outdated, and the new version of the same mod has 1000 other useless features that I don't want.

So please, can someone tell my how you automatically make STV record 6v6 matches in tournament mode?
