b) LG w2363d 16:9 1920x1080 (23" 120hz)

Those above 2 are the only two 120hz monitors worth buying when strictly for competitive gaming, the rest all have flaws in performance.

To get 24" and 1920x1080 your only real option is to wait and see what the performance of the BenQ xl2420t will be like, if they've fixed the overdrive issue from the previous version (xl2410t) via better panel and/or technology in their overclocking pixel response... that one will be the best on the market... however i doubt it... and if they did it will probably be out of your price range at 300gbp anyway.
