As Animal said, it is probably Steam messing up. It shows the update as a 3 GB update, but it's actually a 450 MB update.

Since it's rather difficult to download a 3.1 GB update in 5-10 minutes with a 800 kb/s DL speed.]]></description>

    	    <description><![CDATA[I've got many friends who get a problem of downloading 2+GB updates when the actual update is a few MBs, validating etc. doesn't seem to help, ideas?
