you should allways either turn off AV or whitelist the steam folder

mmmm...multicore rendering on/off? swticht it, may be better.... startup settting: -high check your nividia system settings und 3d-settings, programmsettings or something like that(look for tf2): most things should be automatic or app controlled.... otherwise....delete team fortress 2 folder and restart, check in your task manager your processor affinity( maybe uncheck the first 2 and look if it works better also you could try : turn virus programs off, steam cloud, skype, messangers etc

Hey, have/had the same problem.... useing also chris fps configs, max quality etc works well but the best fps Ißm getting with chris dx 9 fps cfg....stable 120fps with the 460gtx.... be sure you running it in -dxlevel 95 high fps etc works much worse on my pc... anyway...very ppor performance on tf2...terrible tearing and so on gl finding a cfg...
