Don't have realtek, got IDT HD Sound CP and no option like that anywhere there. :/ Do laptops even have that option?

I'm guessing you can't just 'fix' this, if so is there any way to cheat it with a 3rd party program or something?

Yeah since I dont work for HP anymore, changed to Adobe like 2 months a go, so I could not go to test unit and check (like I would have usually done). Anyways idea is the same, reinstall the soundcard drivers to the bugger and it should fix all the factory settings back to it and help on the issue.

and I just assumed without checking that you would have realtek since 95% of HP unit uses realtek.

Sup,

My PC died a month ago and I've been using my laptop since. It can run TF2 okayish so I'll be using my laptop at LAN too but I have a little problem with it.

When I have mumble open (not even connected to any servers or anything, just open) I got mumble sound properly through my headset, all other audio however goes through my laptop speakers. Which makes playing TF2 or doing anything else with sound slightly annoying.

Doesn't happen only with mumble, also happens when I open the steam settings window on the voice tab; when I select the sound output to be 'headset' instead of 'speakers' in skype; when I start Brink (except with brink ALL sound is through speakers, none through headset). Could happen with other programs too, dunno.

Also if I disable my speakers in the settings the sound still won't go through my headset, it just won't play at all.

Can anyone help me make the sound play only through headset even with mumble etc open? Would be much appreciated.
