welcome to bt homehub! restart insta-fixes the issue. you only get it on pub servers. Effectively what happens is the home hub drops the connection as you join after about 20 seconds usually. i had this for years and years now. its no big deal. there isn't a real fix, i dont think home hub allows use of telnet. only fix i know works for sure is to use another router :D nut i dont have one :(
I fixed it using BT Home Hub. Type 192.168.1.254 into URL bar, Settings -> Admin. Should be a list called "Game or application" Choose Steam Games and the appropriate device.
