welcome to bt homehub!

restart insta-fixes the issue.
you only get it on pub servers. Effectively what happens is the home hub drops the connection as you join after about 20 seconds usually. i had this for years and years now. its no big deal. there isn't a real fix, i dont think home hub allows use of telnet.

only fix i know works for sure is to use another router :D nut i dont have one :(

I fixed it using BT Home Hub. Type 192.168.1.254 into URL bar, Settings -> Admin.

Should be a list called "Game or application" Choose Steam Games and the appropriate device.

FIXED! :D

I fix this a while ago it IS a router issue.

This fixed my O2 wireless box 2

You’ll need to connect to your router by telnet. Click on “Start”, then select “Run”, type “cmd” and press Enter or click “Ok”. This will bring up a command prompt. Win7 users can use putty or kitty
Type “telnet ”

login with

ID: SuperUser
Password: O2Br0ad64nd

Once you have logged in, you will be presented with the command line of your router.
This is where you must enter the following commands:

connection unbind application=GAME(UDP) port=27010-27011
saveall
exit
