I never run anything in the background when i run tf2 apart from mumble, and i doubt mumble causes it because it happens with and without mumble being open

Ok so since the past week, my mouse has started acting weird. During any match be it public or pcw it's always freezing on me for about 5-10 seconds then my fps drops to 10 and my whole game lags for about 20 seconds which is really starting to get irritating, it has only started doing this in around the past week so if anybody has any suggestions, pls don't hesitate to post them :). I use a deathadder 1800dpi if that helps in someway as well.
