All the fans start, no beeping. Laser on the mouse lights up, keyboard 'lock' buttons flash. I looked a bit more though, the problem is pretty weird. If I put in a VGA or HDMI cable into the monitor but not into the actual computer, I get the message "Check video cable." After I plug it into the pc, the message goes away and I get "No input detected" then the monitor sleeps. Are you plugging in a dvi or a vga cable into your gfx card? ( i guess its probably just got the white dvi/digital connector?) Try plugging it into another port on the graphics card (some have two), also check if your monitor is set to digital or analoge mode, try the ram as skyride says, only other thing you can try is another gfx card in the mobo.
I've tried an HDMI cable and a VGA one, neither works, both work in my old pc. Monitor is set at the right stuff. Unfortunately don't have another card lying around anywhere, or I would have tried that by now :S Quoted from Tobyy
Has it got two PCI-E slots? For me it only worked if it was plugged into one of them and had this blanking thing in the other. It'll probably tell you in the book.
