Shuffled about where the bulk of the money is being spent to get you a little more for your money. Buying cheap cases is really counter productive. You buy a case like ~£15 more expensive, and get like ~£30 worth of fans with it, plus much better cooling and a lot better build quality.

Also, admittedly that CPU cooler isn't necessary, but its the same one I have and its worth it more for being quiet than anything else.

Would rather stay away from intel... any processor I've ever had from them has broken in some way or another, I just seem unlucky when it comes to their processors :p

I dunno if the case is wholly necessary either, I won't be ocing or anything, so surely 4 case fans with suffice?

Readjusted the RAM in my build I have on scan, so it's now got 2x4GB RAM Sticks, for a cheaper price. I tend to open far too many programs that use loooooads of RAM at once, and trust me, I will need it.

Finally with the fan, I really don't care about noise, since anytime I'm at the computer I have my headset + music on loud.

Thanks for the help anyway... soz for just kinda shooting down the build you did :p

Yet

intel halts production and allows $700 million to cover replacements, all motherboard manufactures have a swap out/replacement policy.

As long as you ONLY use the sata 3 controller you're fine - limited to 2 sata devices without a pic, but fine

you can't possible expect people on this forum to understand the English language do you?

to OP if you decide to buy intel, it's a waste money to spend it on a non upgradable 1156 motherboard (if you ever intend to upgrade the processor/hdd to a sata drive), wait for the fixed sandybridge boards (b3 stepping) to appear in april

I'll not list all the things lacking in the 1156 motherboards you can do that research yourself. But it is a dead platform

Won't be getting a high-end card any time soon. I have an ATI 5500 atm I think, and it's more than enough to run hon and TF2 on highish graphics, even with my shitty system atm. I could upgrade to something beefier later if I decide to play a more GPU-intensive game. This pc is mostly just cause I really badly need a new pc, this one is about 5 years old, 1GB RAM, Dual-Core processor @ 2.2 GHz (underclocked afaik) and the ATI 5500.

- Don't you want a DVD drive?
- I'd get other fans if I were you. Not that these are bad, just that everything else you chose seems to be in stock. It would suck to have to wait because of those 2 fans.
- The side panel of that case supports 140mm fans. I don't know where you wanted to place those 2 fans (1 in the rear, 1 in the sidepanel or 2 in the sidepanel), but for those you want in the sidepanel, get 140 mm ones. The bigger the better :)
- Those RAM modules look pretty fancy. If you aren't planning on overclocking, you can probably go for a cheaper version.

- If your brother knows how this works, why the hell isn't he helping you in the first place?

1 - Forgot, thanks :DD
2 - They are in stock, just don't have scansure. Easily done, I kept thinking they weren't in stock too :p
3 - According to the specs of the case on scan, there are 3 x 120mm and 1 x 140mm bays. Fans included are 1 x 120mm and 1 x 140mm
4 - Those were genuinely the cheapest 8GB I could find on scan, that were 1600 and DDR3. Didn't really want to go any lower than 1600, nor fork out extra for 2000 pre-OC'd, and I can allways OC later if I reeeeally want to.

5 - He's a fucking perma-stoner so I can't trust half of what he says. He also takes about 30 minutes to reply to anything I ask over steam, since he has uni coursework to hand in in about a week.
