It is working on sv_pure 1

AFAIK it wasn't working on the day it was implemented, they fixed it a few days later

Default sound is annoying, what's the point of this command if u cannot change the sound?
What's the poin of disallowing change to this sound anyways. It is used to get you some info.
If it was made on purpose -they can simply remove it as they used to do...

Since 12-18 update my hitsound isn't working anymore.
Never had any problems with it so far.
quake3.wav in /sound/ folder.

autoexec:

play "quake3.wav"
tf_dingalingaling "1"
tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg "66"
tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg "133"
tf_dingaling_volume "0.75"
tf_dingaling_wav_override "quake3.wav"

No hitsound-commands in any other cfg-file.

launch options:

-w 1920 -h 1080 -console -noborder -nojoy -noipx -novid -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -sw-w 1920 -h 1080 -console -noborder -nojoy -noipx -novid -noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd -sw

When i am connected to a server I get the following console message.

] play "quake3.wav"
Failed to load sound "quake3.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository

Playing the file works fine when I didn't connect to a serv (rephrased: right after I launched TF2)

Yes I do start Team Fortress via Library only, it's not that join-game-via-steam-friends-rightclick-bug.

Hints? :)))))))))
